The Works Of A Simple Man - Richard Bilodeau

    Foreword

Rick's poems connect readers to Jesus in such a powerful way through intense images and beautiful words. The stunning lyrics call us to a deeper understanding of Christ. Rick's poetry also calls us to action as disciples. He shows us a beautiful example of how to listen to Gods plan and then go out and serve our brothers and sisters in Christ. The words of Rick's poems are especially real and relatable. You don't have to be a scripture scholar to understand the message of God expressed in his poems. He writes with such passion and true guidance from the Holy Spirit. I am amazed as he described to me how the words just flow to him with such grace.

    —Emily Crockett,

    Youth Minister at IHM Parish

This book is dedicated to my wife Connie who has always been my rock. My daughter Casey, who without her this book would not be possible. To my other four children, who are my inspirations. To Emily Crockett who was a great Youth Minister at IHM Parish in Lansing, Michigan. For Father John Byers who has always pushed me in the right direction.

I was sitting outside, amidst the soft warm rain.

I was mulling over my newest doctors report.

    The news wasn't good.

The cancer had returned and was spreading.

    My mind was wandering

barely feeling the wetness of the soft rain.
