      Prologue

      There are seasons that come like hurricanes that completely alter the course of one’s life journey. That was the case for me in 2011.

      I hit rock bottom after undergoing unsuccessful IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatments. I found myself in the darkest place I had ever experienced with no support from family or friends. My husband was emotionally unavailable, and my small family was back in Europe. The
