In our Western Culture it has become common knowledge that people tend to eat for emotional reasons rather than hunger. Much of our natural instinct around hunger and satiation has become intricately complicated due to factors such as socialisation practices, social conventions and personal meanings. These treats become ingrained in your psyche and hold much personal significance into adult life. The meanings and significance are often loaded with emotional notions, specifically pleasure - love, shame and guilt - punishment. Your relationship to the food you eat and your body image
