Jenanah Amatullah-Muqsit

Jenanah W. Amatullah-Muqsit is a chaplain with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, working in a maximum facility for women. As of this writing, Jenanah has been there for over seventeen years. She is a mother of five, three young men and two young women. Her oldest son is deceased. Jenanah is also a grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of nine with one more on the way. She has two home-based businesses and is working on two undergraduate degrees and endeavors to be a prolific writer of books that touches the soul. She is presently in the process of writing her second book in collaboration with her son, who went through and overcame severe depression in his second and fourth year of college. Her educational goal is to obtain her master’s degree in criminal justice and then go on to law school, majoring in international law, with a minor in civil law. She says she is a late bloomer baby boomer and does not want to die with her songs still in her, so she is collapsing time frames. She also wants to leave a rich legacy for her family to follow. Jenanah looks forward to becoming a world renowned author with a book in every household that is helping everyone to make their day a better day and their life a better life.

This book is dedicated to my mother Wilhelmina Hayward who departed this life on March 25, 2005, thanking the Creator was always on her lips, and I thank Him for her.

My five children

Nathaniel, my oldest now deceased, who was a very special soul and is greatly missed; and to all of his family.

Emmanuel, my oldest living son (and his son), who have triumphed over adversity and blazed a trail for many to follow, I’m trying to convince him to write a book, it will help many.

Aseelah, (and her family), my oldest daughter who never gives up, has many talents and uses them all; she has many books in her.

Daniel, my youngest son, (and his family), when I look at him I see the picture of perseverance. He is my next book, God willing.

Fajr, my youngest daughter who is a gentle soul and not afraid to search for her Divine purpose; I believe she is well on her way to finding it.
