    FOREWORD

Seasons of life are like people; they come and go. Some so quickly we wish they lingered longer, others so long we wished otherwise. Others so painful we wished they never happened.

In 1998 I lay in Kenyatta Hospital sick, but I did not realize how sick I was until I realized that every morning there were dead bodies in my admission ward. I was down with TB and most of my lungs had been destroyed. I had lost a significant amount of weight, lost appetite; my college grades were about to be affected, even my friends and college mates were not allowed to come visit me. I asked myself why I am going through all this. If I had the knowledge found in this book Seasons of Life, I would have been stronger and more cheerful than I was then, for this was just a season of my life.
