    Reflections of Inspiration

This book of poetry inspired by my Heavenly Father is dedicated to the memory of my mother Rosetta K. Brown, a prayer warrior who taught me to pray.

She read to me and my sister Juanita with such enthusiastic expression, that it made each story so real, I felt as if I was actually there witnessing it.

I thank the many people who prayed for me, encouraged me, and those who were instrumental in making my dream of being published a reality.

I thank my Aunt Vivian, my Spiritual Mother, Dr. Donella V. Stewart, who ignited a fire of love for poetry within my heart when I was 12 years old in the 7th grade at Mt. Calvary 7th Day Adventist School 1212 Scott Street Tampa, Fl. By helping me with a poem on tuberculosis, I was one of the winners in a three way tie in an essay competition between the schools in Hillsborough County.

I thank Fred Johnson, Actor, Instructor, Singer, Musician, Writer, Director, Who promoted my poetry by taking me on Poetry Presentations, singing my poetry and making it truly come alive.

To the many audiences who have heard my poetry and have actually given me standing ovations, I deeply and humbly thank you.

Most of all to my Heavenly Father, to You be thanks, honor, glory and praise!

    Reminiscencing

    I can never forget,

    That special day we met,

    It was back then,

    I thought of you

    As a wonderful friend,

    But it wasn’t long before

    I became aware,

    My feelings for you

    Went far beyond care,

    I would dream

    Of being your wife,

    Your lover, your friend,

    Down the Road of Life,

    And now that my dream

    Has come true,

    Each day grows

    Sweeter with
