Prologue
It is understandable that humanity is constantly trying to tweak and renew itself. It is also understandable that this type of human alignment is more easily done during the youthful or childhood years.
According to the particular child or youth, there will be different needs to consider. However, there are basic needs of youthful humanity. They are love, affection, attention, security, and guidance. These needs may also be met in later years of life. However, during the youthful years, the needs are more easily accomplished. Generally speaking, these needs may be considered physical, emotional or spiritual.
For over 5000 years, some of humanity, through different meditation modalities, have successfully empowered its youth. Since these needs are fundamental and universal, consider this: wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of humanity could empower its youth with the spiritual and emotional fortitude to face the uncertainties of tomorrow?
Along with satisfying the basic needs, the empowered youth will have the patience and ability to relax and help themselves. That is the key, to help themselves! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Within the pages of this book, there are some real answers. It is guaranteed!
A Child’s Needs
A child needs love.
A child needs affection.
A child needs attention and not rejection.
A child needs direction.
A child needs care.
A child needs to know that you’re always there.
A child needs discipline.
A child needs a smile.
A child needs to learn to feel worthwhile.

Motivation for Personal Guide
Creating a Space for a Youth to Meditate is a go to guide
for anyone who has a youth to love or parent. Because many of the meditations in the chapter are beneficial to all age groups, there are suggestions for all to explore.
This is a how to guide
with tips, techniques, activities and interviews from people with different meditation backgrounds. These techniques are sure to have the youth of every age group and their personal guides creating a space.
Meditation is not only about creating a physical space but also finding the emotional and mental space, from within.
Today’s world is fast paced. Social media, video games, texting, blogging, fast food and social activities, keep most families and kids on the run. This fast pace can overload brain waves, lead to hyperactivity, sleeping disorders, learning disorders and poor diets.
Such circumstances can often lead to poor grades, lack of emotional stability and self-control. It can also lead to illnesses and inappropriate behaviors, as well as arguing and low self- esteem. By offering a youth a chance to meditate, the necessary time is provided for unplugging and de-stressing. The youth can let go of worry from within and reconfigure the emotional self. By embracing this practice, meditation can be used to create and sustain a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Meditation expands the imagination and clears a path for the creative process. It clears emotional blocks and allows natural energy to flow. It is significant to note that for generations to come, this imagination and creativity will become a part of the process of technology and invention. Also in future times of struggle, this creative process will help support unity and peace.
It is beneficial for a personal guide to instruct and support a youth that is practicing meditation. This personal guide is a person who inspires confidence and also provides the training. When meditation begins, the challenge for the personal guide is to relax the youth. For at least the first
