About the Author
In very rare moments in our lives, perhaps by chance or more than chance, we meet someone with a truly unique life. Haresh Buxani is one such special person. He was my patient, but now he is also my good friend.
The coincidence of our meeting—an appointment ordained by God Almighty, a God-incident for certain—has made me marvel at life in a more spiritual way, because, for Haresh, life is a vivid reality.
When we first met, Haresh had all the odds stacked against him. His medical problems were increasing by the minute and often seemingly insurmountable. But today, several years later, Haresh lives to tell his story—one that is full of real-life motivational secrets. Importantly, he does this in a very warm and personal manner, which is precisely his character.
If you are in a life-changing encounter where you seem to be pushed into the corner, this book is for you. Though the prose is simple, the message is deep and real. Do not mistake its brevity for a lack of content. There are loads of hidden treasures neatly and perfectly packaged for those who, perhaps because of similar difficult circumstances, are ready to take in information only in smaller portions.
To Haresh, my friend, good job!
To those who read this book, may Haresh motivate you to believe that you will succeed, one day at a time.

Foreword
There are lessons in life that simply can’t be taught. There are situations in life that are simply not in our hands, yet life goes on. To those who feel overwhelmed by circumstances or simply feel that there is no light in sight, I say, Read this book.
It will give you hope and some invaluable tips to help you move on.
I salute Haresh J. Buxani for having the courage and wisdom to write about his circumstances and what he had to deal with; under the same circumstances, many of us would have easily given up. Let this book be an inspiration to many.
God bless.
Haresh Vatwani, a good friend of the author
Preface
This is not a book on the secrets of investment. I am not a famous speaker, and neither am I a doctor, nutritionist, psychologist, mechanic, chef, or someone who feels qualified to tell you how to build an airplane. Actually, this book is about my experiences in life, and I share them with you in the hope that you will use them to achieve something in your life and be a successful person. Although this book is my first attempt at writing, I hope to show you, through my life experiences, how to do practical things to create fun in your life as well as how to create abundance, prosperity, and happiness.
I began writing this book in June 2008 after my good friend, Haresh Vatwani, who lives in Singapore, persuaded me to write my life story. I had been turning him down, as I had no interest in doing so. And I did not know how to start writing a book. One day, I was watching Season Three of The Biggest Loser on television. (I usually watched every episode, and I tried not to miss the exercise episode.) Every day, I heard the announcer ask viewers, Tell me your story about the Biggest Loser.
That was what prompted me to start writing this book.
Acknowledgments
To my late father,
Jaikishin Buxani
This is what I should have said to you when I was younger.
Dad, may your soul rest in peace. We all love and miss you so dearly.
Dad, we miss you.
Dad, we love you.
Dad,
You passed away at a very young age.
I have many stories to tell you,
Though I’m not sure where to begin.
I could write a billion pages,
Even though I do know
You won’t be able to read them.
You can see from above
That we are fine and doing well.
Dad, you’re a loving father
With a heart of gold.
Each day of my life,
I remember you day and night.
I remember all that you have taught us.
Thank you for taking good care of us when we were young,
So today I have written my life’s experience.
Please bless my first book, One Day, I Will Be Successful, and the countless people who read it.
* * *
To my mother,
Indra
Mum, without you, there would be no One Day.
Your love, attention, and guidance have made me who I am.
You showed me the way to serve and to accomplish many things.
Without you, there would be nothing I could
