INTRODUCTION

Grace [hen] be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:3 Remember your creator before the silver cord is snapped and the golden bowl is broken, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel broken at the cistern, and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the breath returns to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:1, 6-7"

What is a doorway? Well, I’m glad you asked. A doorway [petah] is the opening to a door that leads to transition. In this book it is an entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a means of gaining access to something. Grace is unmerited divine assistance given to humankind for their sanctification. It is a virtue that comes from God. Grace is mercy and favor. Doorway of Grace is a bible study series that opens a door to the Kingdom of Heaven and gives the student wisdom [hokmah], knowledge, and understanding through an extensive study of the bible that leads to God’s divine grace.

PREFACE

This book is one of a series of bible study lessons compiled into seasons. The seasons are winter, spring, summer, and fall. Each season moves you to a higher level in Christ Jesus and teaches you to remember God who is your creator. This book was written in the season of winter. Winter is December, January, and February. Winter is the cold season of the year. Prophetically, it is a season of darkness and barrenness. It is a time of hiding and a time of stagnation. Winter is a slow season and a time to shutdown due to the cold. We are less active and productive in the winter. When you have scenes of winter in your dreams and visions it is a symbol of the aged. The winter season leave us vulnerable, exposed, and feeling stripped like the nakedness of the trees. It is also the holiday season when we should celebrate and relax and study and remember all the blessings God has given us. Hosea 6:3 says Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. (NIV) Ecclesiastes 12:1 and 7 says we must remember our creator before we return as dust to the earth.
