About this ebook

So you call yourself a Christian, an ambassador, or representative of God's kingdom. Now what? This probing question has to be in the mind and thought of every child of God.

It is important to remind the reader of this book that ideas and issues that you contemplate in this book will be of no use to you if Jesus is not your Savior. However, if you have picked up this book to read, it means that there is one more opportunity to make Jesus your Lord and Savior. So having said that, pray the following prayer with me:

Lord Jesus, I thank you that you died for my sins.
I do accept your redemptive act in Calvary.
Come into my life and change me.
Reflect and reveal your wisdom to me for it is in your name that I do pray. Amen.

A special thanks to my family—Deborah (wife), Nob and Chilaka (sons), Vincent Akas, Terrence, and Letha for their enduring patience throughout the years of incarceration. Mrs. Carolyn McPherson, you have been real in my life. Rainer Kunert, thank you for clerical assistance. To all my friends, thank you for your friendship. It would be unfair not to acknowledge you—the readers, my prayer is that God will meet you at the point of your need. Amen.

    NOTE TO THE READER

    Dear Reader,

The intent of this book is not to be your teacher or teach you, but rather points you to something you should have known or may have known and, for reasons, have never adhered to it as a believer.

What I am revealing or reminding you of is that even though the world has two systems operating within it, God’s desire is that you may live and breed in this system—divine kingdom.

If you are willing to know more of this system, would you join me and explore its intricacies?

    I dare you to.

    INTRODUCTION

So you call yourself a Christian, an ambassador, or representative of God’s kingdom.

Reflect and reveal your wisdom to me

for it is in your name that I do pray. Amen.

Consider with me the following story: One Friday evening as I was walking in the yard, having fasted the whole day, the Lord began to minister to my spirit. One thing that the Lord said to me was, I want you to write about Divine and Worldly Systems. I was totally confused about this voice, but ignored it just as I have done on previous occasions. I could recall in January or February of 2005, the Lord had spoken to my spirit and asked me to write about how He had prepared me before my mother’s death. Fear and doubt kept me at bay because I did not know where and how to start. I realized that the longer I waited, the more difficult it would be to start.

Shortly after the Lord had spoken to me about writing a book, I walked up to a brother whom I had known for less than a week. The brother’s name is Ken Mitra. As we began to walk and share the goodness of the Lord, within a few minutes, he mentioned that many Christians don’t understand that there are two systems in the world. That statement raised my spiritual antenna so high that the excitement of vision overshadowed our conversation. I said to Brother Ken that the Lord had just asked me to write a book on the subject. I also explained to him that I had just started a teaching series on Divine and Worldly Systems. Ironically, Ken was not surprised when I told him that, on the first day of the teaching, the church congregation looked perplexed as if I were teaching a strange doctrine. Praise be to God, after a while, they began to understand scripture upon scripture. They accepted the scriptures as true.

As you read these meditations centered around a study of Divine and Worldly Systems, keep an open mind so that the stories and scriptures may speak to you directly. Perhaps they will change your life.

    THE SYSTEM THAT GOD FORMULATED

There is a system which God has set up. It is the Divine System. His Divine System is Word oriented, faith bound, love concentrated, and Holy Spirit directed. No child of God can operate in this system without adhering to these principles. The system is noncompetitive because it guarantees eternal life. We must examine the intent of God as He formulated the perfect system. There is no better place to do this examination than in the Book of Genesis, chapter 1.

Genesis describes the sequence of events as follows:

The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The spirit of God was moving, (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light; and there was light… (Gn 1:2-24)

Several times, God mentioned, Let there be… The power of the Word was backed by the Holy Spirit. If you ever thought of operating in God’s kingdom, your word must also be backed by the Holy Spirit. Your word becomes an empty vessel without the power of His spirit. In the Creation, the Holy Spirit was the executive arm of God. God spoke the Word, and the Holy Spirit transformed it into objects. Every time God opened His mouth, the Holy Spirit was ever present to carry out His mission. The reason the Holy Spirit and the Word is important to a believer’s life is because they transcend through the chaos of our lives. Nothing can penetrate through the dark period of your life more than the Word and the Holy Spirit. That is why your effectiveness in the divine kingdom depends on your spirit working in concert with the Word and the Holy Spirit to produce faith. God is what faith stands for. Jesus operates here on earth through faith and love. Everything He did on earth was based upon faith, including miracles (Gal 3:5).

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26 points to the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Word during the formation of Man. God said, Let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. In verse 26, He says, Let them have dominion over… every thing that walks on the earth. The word man does not specify gender, but rather it means the human race. Moreover, the formation of man was so special as a representative of God that it took the full council and unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to accomplish. God’s intent for His created human race was to operate in the same manner as Himself (Jn 14:14). The man whom God chose to create male and female set up the institution of marriage, which is the benchmark for our social structure. It is also the essential principle for the kingdom’s expansion on earth. It is important that I mention this to you: you cannot have the Holy Spirit and not know how to love your spouse. Love will cause you to treat him or her as your own body. The relationship of God and man is commemorated by His love, and believers have to show the same love to the dying world. The two words highlighted in this verse that raises the stake of man are image and likeness. Both words denote resemblance, model, or shade. The authority of a believer is an understanding that you have the resemblance, model, or shade of Jesus. Man gave up this authority when Adam sinned, but those who are born-again in Christ have been restored with the authority and therefore have dominion over things on earth (Luke 10:19).

Like Adam, a believer’s ability to maintain this power of authority solely depends upon his/her obedience to God who has delegated such power to them. At any time that you and I become disobedient to the Word of God, we lose or transfer that authority to operate on earth to the enemy. The sole purpose of man’s existence on earth is to maintain God’s kingship on earth.

The most interesting observation as God completed the fifth day of creation is that He declared it good (Gn 1:25). This means that God was not going to bring this man into an imperfect world without equipping him with the necessary tools to effectively manage the affairs of His kingdom. To do this, God insured that the chaotic world was made perfect before He made Adam to take control of His created earth.

There are several different elements set forth within the kingdom of God:

    1.   God established His man to have dominion over the kingdom.

    2.   God sets the boundary of the domain.

    3.   He gives abundance within His kingdom.

DOMINION—God is in charge, but humans have the power to obey or disobey.

If you have ever doubted that God intended for us to be a blood-washed son or daughter of His and to have dominion over His garden, then you ought to read this:

Then God blessed them and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. (Gn 1:28)

God’s choice to have His created man oversee His entire empire can be related to his image and likeness. Some of the things that distinguish man and place him as an overseer are sense of reason, intellect, ability to relate to God, and personality. Nothing else has this. Based on this, there are certain inherent powers and rights that God has allowed mankind to operate with. It is like a power of attorney. God made man in His image, according to our likeness (Gn 1:26). Everything that God created has a physical DNA. But Adam had something no other created thing has, God’s spiritual DNA. Based on this DNA, he was expected to operate on this earth in the same manner and method as God. In a sense, mankind has a Garden of Eden entrusted to his care. Just as Adam refused to be the perpetual occupant of the garden so are many Christians today. Being a born-again Christian allows you to reclaim that lost power from Satan over your life. Like Adam who was given dominion over the affairs of Eden, your dominion might start with your family down to your church and community. So in essence, your ability to successfully manage your house is an indication of how you will oversee the church of God (1 Tm 3:5). Your house or family is the first order of defense when it comes to having dominion over your Eden. When you neglect to care and love your family, you have become disobedient to God just like Adam. In essence, you have given the control of your family to the world.

When we fail to operate within the domain set by God, it is tantamount to disobedience. There is an area clearly marked in your garden that says, Of every tree of the garden you freely eat, and there is also a distinguishable area marked with a sign, Tree of Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat. When you clearly disregarded the Word of God, that means that you have made a conscious decision to operate in the system of the world. Operating in the Divine System requires you to adhere to God’s Word. The choice is clear.

BOUNDARY—There are rules for God’s system.

The boundary was clearly marked by the rules of each system. The language contained in Genesis 2:17, may not eat, delineates the boundary of the rule. That order becomes the rule that guides mankind. God’s commandment is the rule for Adam and believers who operate within it. Violation of the rule clearly carries consequences the intruder must be willing to pay, either by virtue of loss of freedom or compensatory damage. God’s boundary was clearly marked to reinstate claim and allow His created representative (Adam) to exert power over His kingdom. Likewise, when one commits his/her trust to Jesus Christ as his/her Savior, that individual becomes a citizen of heaven on earth, enforcing the rule of God. Any attempt to relinquish that authority willingly or by the virtue of defect or failure to keep it gives his/her enemy the right to establish whatever rule the enemy deems necessary. Adam’s failure in the garden afforded the enemy that right. Adam’s failure also means the transfer of divine rule to Satan’s rule.

The same principle of tend and keep must be enforced by today’s believers. Many believers may be looked upon as living in a house with a broken fence. The failure to act on the promise of the Word leaves the believers open to attack. The boundary was to protect His man from the enemy. The Bible teaches us that the commandments are our rules. Whenever you keep His Word, the enemy may come against you, but he can’t touch you. See what James says in regard to this: You submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). The submission comes from obedience to His Word. The enemy can’t come to you in the area of your life where the rules of God are established. He comes where he sees a state of confusion like in the case of Eve (Gen 3:2). Eve did not quote God correctly, and it shows a state of confusion.

When you don’t know the authority you have under the Word of God, you will miss out on the promise of God. Adam’s failure to enforce the rules of God gave the enemy entrance to his domain. Jesus said if you love Him, you will keep the commandments; and keeping the commandments shows the seal of ownership to God. As we live each day, our obedience to the Word tells the enemy that you are out of reach from him.

    REWARD—God rewards faithfulness and obedience.

Obedience produces a good reward, just as disobedience has its adverse affect. If you operate within the boundary of the system, there is a reward. Although operating in God’s system there is an instant reward, and there is also what I term a progressive reward.

The instantaneous reward is the salvation upon commitment to Jesus, which was the same right accorded to Adam when he was in the garden. Adam had unrestricted access to God because Adam was able to not only hear the sound of His feet but talk to God. He had a fellowship with God. Salvation is the foundation of the Godly System, and it is an access granted both in heaven and while on earth. This explains why Jesus said, Whatever you lose on earth will be lose in heaven (Matt 16:19). Absent from sin, Adam was assured of eternal life, but sin caused him to die at the age of 930. History has shown that other than
