About this ebook

Exposed For All To See is a compilation of many thoughts, feelings and emotions that a woman goes through. It confronts the father that was never there. It expresses how it feels to be in love and how it feels to have love turn its back on you. It recognizes the many issues we as African-Americans have faced in history. As well as acknowledge Christ and the parts that many people played in making me the woman I am today. This book is about my journey of becoming who I am. Not everything is peaches and cream for those who have made a life for themselves. Here is my passage into wisdom.

    DEDICATIONS

I first give honor to God for allowing me to share my gift with the world.

To my mother, who has always been my biggest supporter from day one. This is our legacy!

To my brother, you have always had my back. It will forever be ‘Just Us Three’!

To my son, you are my muse for striving for success! Mommie loves you Jay Boogie!

To my grandmother, uncles, great-aunts, and cousins . . . thank you for all your support and encouraging words. You all have always had faith in me.

To all my past boyfriends who not only provided me with the experiences that deemed these words worthy, but granted me the wisdom to not only welcome but understand when the right man came along.

Lastly, R.I.P to my loving grandfather . . . you have instilled wisdom in me since I was born. I will always be your little Eskimo.

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The person whom I admire and has had a very positive influence on my life is my mother. You are not only my best friend, but my mentor. You hope I will live my life in a better manner than you and make better decisions, but as long as I can live my life in a semi—equivalent way, I am truly blessed. You are the rock in my family. For this I commend you. You are the true definition of a strong, intelligent black woman. You have shown me what to expect, respect, and neglect in this cruel world. You kept prayer in your words and in your heart. Because of you and what you have instilled in me, God has never turned His back on me. I love you mommie!

    LORD I SEEK ANSWERS

Lord, I have a lot of questions that rummage through my mind.

Many I hear from others, and many whose ownership is none other than mine.

I tend to keep them to myself, since no one seems to have an answer when I ask anyway.

But soon I realize opinions formulate more questions, which leads to less answers and more to say.

I was told since a young tender age; only ask the original source in order to seek the truth.

This is why I come with open ears, a humble mind and a Bible unto you.

Lord I ask: If my parents do not teach me about You, how will I learn?

He answered me: "My child read Psalms 34:11; ‘Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.’"

But if my parents take me to church and teach me about You, will I have wit?

My child Proverbs 22:6 will explain, ‘Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’

Ok, but if we have biological fathers, then what is our relationship to You, my Lord?

My child as John 1:12 and 1 John 3: 1-10 states, ‘You are all God’s children as long as you believe.’ Psalm 127:3 better emphasizes, ‘Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb is his reward.’

So if I have to be saved to be Your child, then can you explain what it feels like to be soothed?

Job 33:25 said it best: ‘His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth.’

Once I am baptized, will I still be on the same pace?

You will try to live following the guidelines or Ten Commandments in Exodus 20. But your spirit will always reside with me as in Job 32:8.

Lord, thank you for listening and telling the truth, My questions have answers and now I know what to do. One more thing I do know and I’ll never forget is the Magnificent Lord’s Prayer in Matthew Chapter 6.

My child, one last thing, as I send you on your way: remember you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you; forever and always. Philippians 4:11

    UNTITLED #1

    Times are changing constantly

    Times are always hardening

    Life sometimes seems unbearable

    But remember keep God first!

No one is in your corner

    Friends turn into foes

    Haters beginning to multiple

    But remember keep God first!

    Money’s running a little short

Bills are due, there’s no last resort

Debts seem like their head over heels

    But remember keep God first!

    Children getting out of hand

Back talk starts, there’s no upper hand

Crying seems to be a daily activity

    Remember Keep God First!

    THE OLD TESTAMENT

The Old Testament contains the most books of the bible, but each one withholds an important message

Although I cannot go through all of them, those I explain will surely teach you a lesson

If you read Genesis, you will better understand how life came to be

If you read Exodus, you will understand your history of the Hebrews and the commandments given unto thee

If you read Leviticus, you will know how worshipping, serving, and obeying your God became established

Reading Numbers will help you to understand the lesson that although it may be necessary to pass

through the wilderness, one does not have to live there

If you read Deuteronomy, you grasp the importance of obedience

If you read Joshua and Job you will further conceive the different aspects of having faith on God, and how far it can take you in life

Ruth exemplifies love, devotion, and redemption,

While Daniel illustrates how important your decisions are

Esther reveals God’s hand of providence and protection on behalf of His people

But if you read Psalms, you will perceive God as
