Rhyme with No Reason: Nature, God & Magic (A Collection of Poems)
()
About this ebook
Looking at life with a child-like perspective, with simple and thought provoking rhymes, the author draws our attention to how much we take for granted in our lives.
How much, of what we already have, we can enjoy and appreciate if only we could drop the boundaries weve created in our minds.
Ever since she was a little girl, the author has tended to write in rhyme.
Most of these poems were written by her between the ages of 9 to 18.

I. A PREFACE TO LIFE AS I SEE IT
Down Memory Lane- A Teenager’s View
Life & Death
T he earth is a sneak-peak preview of what heaven and hell are like, that’s what I have always believed. Well, at least from the time I learned about people dying and what it really meant..
When I was little my mother read me a story almost every night and invariably every story concluded with the same line and they lived happily ever after….
. As a child I believed that we would all live forever, timelessly, like the characters in a fairy tale.
It was only when I was about four years of age that I learned that life would end one day for everybody. At first I was unable to accept the fact that humans pass away. As I grew up I began to think:
The world is filled with happiness and sorrow,
You can never tell what’s in store for tomorrow;
All you can do is enjoy today,
Get the fullest experience that comes your way.
Spread joy all around,
Wipe away that ugly frown;
Thank your lucky stars,
For all the blessings, the countless showers
That have been bestowed upon you;
Cherish the fact that you’re one of the few
Who have been able to
Absorb the positive light -
The rest will simply be alright.
‘End of a life’ to me seemed like the biggest lie I’d ever heard, but gradually I began to get used to the idea that all creatures had a life-span, just like every story has
