I would like to thank Jasmine Shifflett for her time, love and effort afforded to me on your creation of Angry Bunny, the illustration for my book cover.
To Vera Rose for all your ways of inspiring me to find my love for writing again. You were the catapult in me chasing down this dream. Thank you.
To my family, mom dad sisters and Ptoad, for your support in my highs and lows. For the love and assistance you’ve given me. I love you with all my heart.
To Mandy Owens for being my sounding board. I miss Kitty.
And to Earl Thomas. For your continued involvement and constant Hey Aaron, just checking on how your manuscript is coming along
Thanks. It’s come along and is now done.
And to Meadow… psssssttttt! Thank you for the love, smiles and warmth you’ve given to me… To Mary and Daniel… Thank you both for being there for me… my love to you… Now get to lifting…
To anyone else I missed, well, thank you. Enjoy the ride. There is love all around, sometimes you just have to scratch and sniff.
It Starts With
Sitting alone quietly, listening to the commotions going on around me,
Seeing, in the distance, a set of eyes burning, astoundingly bright
Suddenly noticing nothing else. Held by the brilliance, the depth
The clarity of which things seem to grow in those eyes.
Mind curious as to what could be so indelibly wonderful
About them. Staring for minutes, lost in amazement, captured.
Unable to break the trance, watching wistfully. Images
Flash through mind. Some astonishing, some disturbing, some
Wicked. Fixated still, as body begins moving toward
Subject. Wishing for an opportunity to get to know
Beholder. Time seeming to stop
As I walk to her, eyes still transfixed upon those perfect
silhouettes… .
. . . .

The Invite
Life, boring if taken in everyday normalcy,
Made more exciting by creative minds willing
To push ideas and imagination to limits.
Venture into a new realm, lay down your
Precautions. Fear not the bite marks, the tearing of your flesh, and allow
your mind to accept
The stimulation. Steady your soul for
Unforeseen tantric moments. Your screams I will
Turn from quiet agony into guilty pleasure. Listen
To my words, I won’t lead you astray.
Trust my voice and welcome my touches.
Hear your innermost cries.
Let me unleash your wildest dreams. See what
Fondness you will derive from my darker side of play.

The White Dress
Standing in line, patiently waiting, allowing the eyes to
Stroll across the other patrons. Stopping when I see
The white dress. Short, tasteful, and by no means trashy. Eyes
Locking on your legs, studying the curves, taking note of the
Muscles in your calves. Standing. Wondering. Waiting. Oblivious to
surroundings.
What was once a quiet, peaceful lunch, lonely if being
Honest, now has become more intriguing. Several coughs, stares and an
Unfriendly "get the hell out
