Concetta Tina Scarpitti was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, with her siblings (Joe, Angela, Tom, Maurizio, and Tony), nieces and nephews, and the distinguished artist who illustrated the cover, Ashley Samantha Lo Russo. Concetta enjoys oil painting, collecting old war coins, and practicing karate kata forms. Teardrops fill with secretive cries,

Deep penetrating, solemn thoughts

Mixed emotions, the truth is sought.

Mysterious eyes of disguise

Fading away day by day,

Fears riding the open road delayed

Too late for saving what is truly sane.

Wandering the night until sunrise,

Unveiling the mask of what was her face

She is now heard by her howling cries.
