About this ebook

When author Mayun Taners life fell apart, she grasped at any hope she could envision for survival. She found herself asking, Why is this happening to me? In that moment of navet, she realised that her question was not one of blame, but rather of honest inquiry into the path her life had taken.

That question was the first step on her path to self-responsibility. Soon, she found that each answer inspired another question, inspiring a process that opened a door to a life of love, gratitude, joy, happiness, and abundance. Life is not a set of random and chaotic events. She now knows that what she thinks, feels, expresses, and does are the forces that actually shape her life.

Among the lessons shes gathered to share are some of the most profound shes learned:

The quality of your life does not rely on what you haveor dont have. All that matters is how you use the ingredients of your life.
The quality of your life is not defined by your wealth (or lack thereof), your health (or lack thereof), or your abilities (or perceived lack thereof).
Your reality is created by your feelings, expressions, and actions.
Amid the turmoil and challenges of the world, a life filled with love and happiness can be yours.
Love, kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity are the only things that can dispel despair, hatred, violence, poverty, and suffering in this world.

    Author’s Note

Language is not sufficient to describe feelings or insights to me or others I have found on this journey. So in the process of writing this book, I have used words and phrases that have a meaning other than their usual meaning, and I have used ones that are not grammatically correct or legitimate,¹ and I have put them in italics to emphasis them. I hope readers will grasp the new or alternate meanings in the context of the sentences.

Within the text, there are multiple footnotes which add to a description, give an example, or make a comment about the contents of the text. Again, this is because language and words have often been inadequate to elucidate the ineffable.

Then there are words that may be new to you, as they were to me, so I have put a concise meaning, and my understanding of their meaning, below.

    Glossary

    Archetype

A long-held image, understanding, belief, or standard is an archetype. It can even be considered a stereotype. In metaphysical terms, it is the essence, strengths, and weaknesses in each Archetype.

    Authenticity

Personal authenticity is being the true self. This takes discovery, honesty, and, yes, confronting long-held beliefs: Are these beliefs mine or somebody else’s? As an individual is willing to explore and experience discomfort and confrontation from self and others, to find their own truth that resonates well within them, on each issue then they come closer to their authentic self.

    Chakras

A chakra is a centre within the body that energy rotates and affects the functioning of that part of the body, mind, or spirit the chakra is associated with. The quality of the energy or the openness of the chakra is affected by one’s thoughts, actions or inaction, and beliefs held.

Many people have heard of the seven chakra centres—see figure 1—which the West has gleaned from Eastern philosophy. When one explores further, there are considered to be more chakra centres within the body (e.g., the palms of the hands and soles of the feet), which are not numbered, and then the chakras outside the body but within the auric energy field of the body. Some call them chakras 8, 9, and 10, all connecting to the greater universal energy. I have not fully explored this as I have been more focussed on my physical and emotional self-integrating with my spiritual self, chakras 1-7, but I am aware of and have experienced the auric energy field of others interacting with mine, so that is still on my to-do list.

    Ego

Ego—with a capital E, as opposed to what we normally associate with ego—is my me self. The selfish physical me that is the one and only in this me existence.

It sees no other and so can be detrimental to ones higher self from evolving if one is not aware of it’s existence. Vigilance is vital so the Ego is not he arbiter of ones path in life. The Ego—and ego—has been triumphant in our evolution to drive our physical survival under great duress, stresses, and inadequate physical capabilities to overcome greater opponents and environmental hazards.

Now is the time of the Self and so the me, thus the Ego is not top billing anymore. It is required but is not the ultimate adjudicator for what is best for the Self. In fact, at times it can be a detriment to the emergence of the Self. The Self is the observer of the me. The Self needs acknowledgement for it to grow and emerge and thus lead to the Higher Self which is a major part of our God self.

    Egoic

When one acts egoically, it means one is not engaging Love in the situation. Egoic response or interaction is all concerned with me and how me feels threatened or uplifted, but it never involves the realisation of success or failure is a community affair. The Egoic person will feel his or her success is all his or her doing, and that a failure is because of others.

    Energy Worker

There are as many types of energy workers as there are types of physicians. A doctor can specialise as a general practitioner, orthopaedic surgeon, vascular surgeon, oncologist, and the list goes on and. Within each field, there are specialists that specialise in one area (e.g., an orthopaedic who specialises in knee and hip surgery or ankle and foot function). And so with energy workers. Besides the often maligned clairvoyant or mediums, there are others who tap into and work with an individual’s energy body to clear, open, or calm that individual’s energy centres, and some can tap into an individual’s subconscious and find possible answers or solutions to health, life, and emotional and spiritual issues. There are others who feel they work with the divine realm through Angelic connection and others who feel they tap into the greater energetic envelope which has been ignored and/or feared by humanity for millennia. Just check the Internet for the variety. Choose wisely and with good intent, otherwise you may connect to the Dark and not the Light.

One must be careful when deciding to engage with an energy worker to choose one who is working with the Light, the Divine, and is capable to handle this energy exchange for the client’s and practitioner’s sake. Some people, once they realise they have an ability, put themselves out as healers or energy workers before they are ready and able to take on the responsibility and stresses of working in this greater energy realm. If you are a client, if it doesn’t feel right for you, then do not go on with it. As a person goes for help, he must take equal part and responsibility in the journey. No one can heal you; only you can do that. But people can assist, advise, and help make the path to health and happiness easier and understandable. When you are ready, the teacher will come.

    I Am Present

This is my Highest Consciousness which is my God or Divine Consciousness that is aware and present in every moment. It is always there, but we often walk blindly through life not even aware it exists. When it is fully engaged, life is easier to traverse and understand. It is what my journey has led me to. I am not lost in confusion. When I do feel unsure, I go within myself and ask for Divine help, for clarity, for protection, or for love to be put into the situation, and my I Am Present, my God self, finds an answer. It is a gift because everything is understandable. Even if I do not like what is happening, it is happening for our (humanity’s) highest good.

    My Truth

My truth is ever evolving, and that is okay. It is a belief that is my raft that I honour until I find The Truth. It is my working prototype that is not perfect, but it keeps me responsible to my self and Higher Self. Having and owning my truth gives me a map, and as I grow and become aware, my map becomes clearer and simpler until The Truth comes into view, and that is when total personal responsibility to that Truth is required for a life of happiness and connectedness. It is not surprising that many people subconsciously, and others consciously, do not take this path because they are too afraid to take on that responsibility; they want to be able to blame others for their predicament. For example, It is her fault I am unhappy! Until we own our own existences, our own truths, we will never open the door to happiness! I have. It’s remarkable, but it has taken effort, perseverance, and the willingness to experience pain and suffering while I was and still am searching for clarity. I found happiness exists within me.

    Plane

This refers to levels of energetic existence. We in our human experience are in one plane; there is something beyond this plane. I have no idea what it looks like; it is a mystery to me just as the indigenous of North America believe. But I know with every essence of my being that something exists beyond this world—the Plane of Spirit, the Plane of the Divine—and I have a feeling many Planes in between.

    Synchronicity

To me, it is as the word suggests: a synchronisation of two things coming together. The only difference between something being synchronised and a synchronicity is it is the Universe’s way of helping a need, want, or a desire—physical, emotional, spiritual, or rational—to come into existence. Again, we must work with the Universal Light when one becomes aware of its efficacy, otherwise Dark forces will be showing the way.

    The Truth

A universal truth is The Truth. It is immutable and undeniable, whether we agree with it or not.

    Transmute

This means to transform something from one form to another with no residue of the original form remaining and no traces or by-products produced. If you transmute fear into love, then no frustration, anger, or sadness will eventuate. To transmute something takes pure intent, and even then our conditioning, beliefs, and prejudices—and subconsciously held conditioning, beliefs, and prejudices—will affect a rational mind’s pure intent (i.e., a rational mind that does not take into account a heartfelt or higher self input may not really be pure intent by universal standards). It does not mean it is impossible, but we as an evolving species have much to learn, especially about our individual selves and individual responsibility.

    The Universe

Besides being just a collection of gases, planets, and stars, the Universe is an energetic entity and it is as all things a dualistic entity. At its basics, there are the Light (Divine, God, Allah, etc.) and the Dark (Evil, Satan, etc.) forces. Some call these forces Good and Evil or Positive and Negative. It is all semantics; there just are these opposing forces regardless of what we call them. The physical universe would not exist as we know it without these opposing forces. It is now time for us, humanity, to realise and understand fully what this entity the Universe is urging us to understand and grow and expand as the universe is growing and expanding and, as a recent Nobel Prize winner discovered, speeding up its expansion. As we are part of that Universe, our growth is expanding and quickening. It all seems so logical to my science-leaning brain. A confirmation for me (a synchronicity), but you the reader must come to it in your own time. As you picked up this book, maybe it is your need that led you to this. Keep moving and growing.

Energy flows from negative to positive, so my conclusion is that the overriding pulse of the universe is towards love and away from fear. Before the scientific purists get on the case yes there are other ways energy moves but as with everything in the universe there are degrees, amplitudes and variances in all of creation or I other words exceptions to the rule

    Preface

This book didn’t start as a book. It started out of frustration, in a disorganised way, in different notebooks and scraps of paper. I had tried to journal in beautiful books I bought, but it never really happened regularly enough. I was scattered and so was my attention to my life and my inner needs. All these untidy notes were an attempt to clarify my thoughts and my living of this life.

    A voice to myself!

I soon realised it could be a way to find myself.

I became more organised, within and without, and the urge to be clear got stronger. I did not fail to see in retrospect how my progress mirrored my intention, attention, and actions.

It was amazing that the very process of writing helped connect many strands of the web of my life and opened up wonderful discoveries, allowing a feeling of freedom to emerge.

The amazing thing about writing is, once you start, astonishing things happen.

I started with an idea, and in the end it is more than I ever imagined it would be.

I still reread it and think of where and how each idea came to me. I had no idea when I started that the embryos of realisations, ideas, and conclusions were within me. It was the process of writing that gave them birth.

So my disorganised bits of paper became a manuscript which, instead of being just a journal, became a book of questions asked, hypotheses proposed, conclusions drawn, and still many questions to be asked and answered. It is a document that has become a scaffold of clarity for my issues and my life. My method works for me, and I am no different to any other soul on this plane. It is only our personalities and life experiences that make us different. Then I thought, If it works for me, maybe it could help someone else. I can only put it out there and it is up to each individual to decide if he or she could apply it to his or her own circumstance. There is always more than one way.

It is a book of personal scenarios and explanations. Even as I started my journey, I found that many books are full of ideas, philosophies, and substance yet not clear on the practical application of them. So I have put in many personal examples. It is the exploration of my psychology and my spirit, the changing of my perception and practices, and my focus within and without myself, which has created a way of navigating my life and reality and brought me happiness and fulfilment. Love rules the day.

If I can do it, so can someone else. Love and Light to all who wish to partake.

I can thoroughly recommend the process. I had to be brave, tenacious, patient, humble, vigilant, and, above all, truthful to others and myself—especially myself. I am thankful to all the people in my life because they have led me to happiness, not just happy moments, in a cocoon of love for others and myself. Safe in the knowledge I am a work in progress. I have found a way to face the world not afraid of creating my reality. I now enjoy a wonderful sense of empowerment. I do not have to defend myself from the trials of life, but I have the ability to create my life.
