I thought I knew my Lord and God;
but darkness fi lled my mind.
I thought I knew my Saviours word;
most all I knew was lies.
Fear-ignorance-bondage and control,
was mostly all my mind did know.
One day my life began to change,
My Lord and God did rearrange.
Th e chains did break and I was free,
my Lord and God He spoke to me.
my soul was starved and very dry;
His presence was for what it cried.
I love to praise His Holy Name;
Gods love has been my glorious gain.
When there are people who lead us astray;
we have to learn to forgive them and pray.
Th at their souls I will forgive;
and Gods love in them shall live. Amen.

Sheryl (Sherry) Norton was born in October of 1957, the first of three children and the only girl child. At the time of her birth, her parents, Donald D. Vinther and Betty Ann Williams Vinther, were living in Topeka, Kansas assigned to Forbes Air Force Base. She grew up in various places, finally landing in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she now lives. I really count myself as very Blessed after all I have been through. She is a three times survivor of a form of cancer. She is a widow after 33 years of marriage in which there were no children. She has been visually impaired from birth, and going completely blind late 99, early 2000. for a long time I was blind not only physically, but spiritually. After being a member of a cult for 23 years, Sherry says only the Love and intervention of Her Heavenly Father brought her out of deception and darkness and trying to live under the law with little love or hope although there was much fear and mans control. The sight I have now in my God I would not trade, though there are times when I wish I could physically see, I have to admit there are other times I am glad that I do not.

01. NOTHING WITHOUT YOU
Written August 1998
I am nothing without you,
a piece of dirt from which I grew,
Loving hands have molded me,
like a potter with his clay.
Sons of God, Joint Heiress with Christ,
Kings and Priests, who have won the fight,
God’s mighty army, whose battle is won,
with Jesus at its head.
When the sun shall cease to shine,
and the moon turns to blood,
Jesus comes back in the clouds,
and takes us all away.
We are nothing without you,
A piece of dirt from which we grew,
Loving hands have molded us,
like a potter with his clay. Amen.
02. THE OPEN DOOR
Written May 1999
When the Jews rejected Him,
the door was open for me,
And when they led Him up the hill,
they nailed Him to a tree.
All the blood He shed;
He shed for you and me,
all the blood He shed;
He shed for you and me.
They laid Him in a borrowed tomb,
it looked like death had won,
But early on the third day,
behold Gods Son.
Jesus rose up from the grave;
life flowed through Him,
Jesus rose up from the grave;
life flowed through Him.
Jesus Christ the Lamb of God,
who shed His blood for thee,
won the battle over death,
and came forth victoriously.
Who stands before His Father God;
for you and me!
Who stands before His Father God;
for you and me!
When His word has been fulfilled,
before this earth is done,
we go to meet our Saviour,
and become one.
God’s mighty army has come,
