Mind*Riot: (Spitten Word)
By Rule Jacobs
()
About this ebook
Rule Jacobs takes readers on a walk through his mind in his unique poetry collection, Mind*Riot. His strongly felt opinions, witty phrasing, and brutal honesty capture the essence of life today. While some of his poems conjure powerful images of the give and take that we face in our relationships, others are the lyrical musings of someone who knows and feels life intimately. His poetry is thought-provoking and at times inspirational, transporting anyone who reads it to a place of strong emotions. Jacobs gets to the heart of life and shakes it up with his genre of poetry called spitted word that is inspired by music.
7 Fathoms in DepthThe art of painting ------
is the sketch of ones vision----
Thousands of lost soldiers
Still trapped inside the cells of my brains prison
No longer confined
I miss you ...
Every time I sneeze you bless me
And in return I kiss you
I have arrived colorless
Yet I am all 16 shades of black
7 fathoms in depth with all I have left
Carved in facts
The fact that most are copycats
Gives existence to the evidence of ignorance
While creating your designs then sharing them
Gives hope to a sign of intelligence
Rule Jacobs
Rule Jacobs was raised in Rahway, New Jersey. He has released ten independent albums to date. He decided to write a book of poetry in his own genre called “spitten word,” which is based on his love of music and his work as an MC.

SOUL FOOD
NAKED (LET US STRIP)
I
Fly by night and soar by day.
Wing span 7 feet
The meek adore my display.
Granted with serenity
Peace has befriended me.
Giving the inner me the energy to exile my enemies
Notice I didn’t murder them?
Instead I refined my circle.
Revenge is not mines
That karma can AND will hurt u.
Simply by, not using patience as a virtue
Promises are broken like a young teen’s curfew!
We feast on what rots the teethe
We dine on what chills the spine.
We are what we eat—have we lost our minds?
You dropped your change-
Better yet lost your sense (cents)
One becomes more of a team player
By getting off the bench!
Those who aren’t getting over
Are just trying to get by
While those feeling down try to change it
By getting high
Unconscious nonsense
The civil find it a bit scary
You will only find success before work.
If you’re looking in a dictionary
Heaven knows hell is the devils pit.
It takes a supreme mind to embrace
An arch nemesis
Man was given an inner sense
Dating back before genesis
The losers shall be first
So guess where the winners sit?
Is a child even innocent?
When raised by a covenant
Raped as a punishment
By a one—world government
It takes a village
To destroy the nightmares of past pillage
If the glass is indeed half full
Why not fill it?
My shadow is the essence of my ancestor’s spirit.
When I whisper freedom the def clearly hear it.
When I show hope
Even the blind can see my mirrored image
Walk out of the darkness
And
Into the light
Step out of the shackles-
But run for your life!
The pain cuts deep like a fisherman’s knife.
A wrong choice can teach you
So the next time you figure it right.
In the face of reality
Some still see illusion
In the wake of euphoria
Some still bring confusion.
It’s a form of pollution—
The food we feed our brains.
Many seem free
But Some how
We never broke ‘free’ of those chains!
In the form of people places and things
Just think.
If you try to save them all
Eventually your ship too will sink
Some lived to tell the story.
While others killed the heroes
And With held the glory!
Removed is my materialism
Now replaced with optimism
Listen to my sounds of blackness as I conquer pessimism
If you spot your destiny
Would you dare take it?
In order for one to cleanse thoroughly
One must 1st be
Completely,
Naked
{Let us strip}
HUNTER’S BY NATURE
Men are hunters by nature
We love the thrill of the game
Don’t get me wrong
If it’s drama, I won’t be feeling the same
The keyword is (hunt) Please y’all follow me
Where is the hunt in saying, (You want to swallow me)
Or mines or whatever
We like the chase the mystery is clever
Picture the wolf getting hungry
And hunting for food
Only to discover the hunted has come to him
And is no longer pursued
Why not tease with future thoughts to please me
I’m feeling like 2Pac
**I Don’t Want It If It’s Dat Easy**
The moment was lost—the thrill is gone
Although we made it look easy reenacting porn
Her exact words were
(I’m feeling groovy)
Then
(How would you like to do me?)
I may have fell victim,
I mean you had to see her booty!
But not knowing there was much more to me
I left like I came,
As if she never knew me!!
She was more concerned, in if my manhood was firm
But just like a DJ, quickly the tables were turned
The chance was burned, curiosity is no more
Feeling rather unsure as we put our clothes back on
Wasn’t what I hoped for, but I did take it
I’ll be the first to admit
A woman is hard to resist when she is naked
(Whispering) . . . Take It!
I smirk and say (nah) but I’m faking
She’s a pro therefore
She knows men are weak for
Sexual temptation
But is a man to blame?
When you pass off the poo-tang?
And all you know is
He drive’s a Benz and
What his chest tattoos say?
You say you want more,
And the liquor’s to blame
Did you do it to get in his pocket like loose change?
Or did you do it
So he would never forget your—name?
Or maybe
Because you heard how hard the last girl came!
Even if he wanted more, he got less
So why look surprised,
When he got up and got dressed?
We just had sex!
And you and I just met!
She said all men are dogs,
It’s just your nature
After you get it, you go
And that’s why I hate ya.
I said,
Sis listen, do me a little favor
The next man you meet,
Don’t jump right in the sheets
Be unique,
Make him chase you
Because men are (Hunters by Nature)
SELF-ISH
I AM A GOOD DAD
AND EVEN A GREATER FATHER
BUT THERE’S SO MUCH MORE I CAN DO
TO BE EVEN BETTER TO MY CHILDREN
NOTE TO SELF
I ALWAYS CUDDLE AND HAVE SEX WITH MY WOMAN
BUT MAYBE I SHOULD HELP WITH THE DISHES OR LAUNDRY
AND THINGS THAT DON’T NECESSARILY CATER TO ME
NOTE TO SELF
I GIVE OUT SO MUCH OF MY WISDOM TO THOSE
WHOM I FEEL NEED IT MOST
BUT KNOWLEDGE IS INFINITE,
MAYBE I SHOULDN’T CHOOSE WHO I GIVE IT TO
AND JUST GIVE IT EQUALLY
NOTE TO SELF
I EAT HEALTHY
BEING AS THOUGH I WAS RAISED ON FAST FOOD AND PORK
BUT MAYBE I ALSO NEED TO DRINK LESS ALCOHOL
AND DRINK MORE WATER AND JUICES
NOTE SELF
I FIGHT HARD FOR THINGS I BELIEVE IN
BUT MAYBE I NEED TO PLAY DEFENSE
JUST AS MUCH AS OFFENSE
NOTE TO SELF
I TRY TO EXPLAIN TO MY WIFE
SHE DOES THINGS THAT RUB ME THE WRONG WAY
BUT MAYBE I ALSO NEED TO LISTEN AS MUCH AS I TALK
NOTE TO SELF
WE CAN NEVER AGREE TO DISAGREE
SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT
BUT MAYBE SOMETIMES SHE JUST IS
AND I JUST HATE TO BE WRONG
NOTE TO SELF
MY GOAL IS TO BE FINANCIALLY WEALTHY
BUT MAYBE I SHOULD FOCUS ON BECOMING
MENTALLY RICH FIRST
NOTE TO SELF
I CAN’T STAND WHEN SHE GETS LOUD
JUST TO DOMINATE THE CONVERSATION
BUT MAYBE I SHOULDN’T DO IT TOO
IF I TRULY DISLIKE IT
NOTE TO SELF
SHE NEVER WANTS ME TO GO WHERE I WANNA GO
OR DO THINGS I WANNA DO
BUT MAYBE I SHOULD ASK,
AND NOT EXPECT HER TO READ MY DAMN MIND
NOTE TO SELF
SHE ALWAYS COMPLAINS THAT IT’S ALL ABOUT ME
BUT MAYBE SHE’S RIGHT AND
I’M JUST TOO SELFISH TO SEE
NOTE TO SELF
THEY WANNA JUDGE ME BECAUSE I MADE A FEW
