I like to thank my Father Jesus for giving me the opportunity to share this book with others. I give all the glory to Jesus Christ. I thank my wife Ayonna Barnes for supporting me and for being my better half. My wife has been there for me through thick and thin. My life had no direction until God placed her before me. I haven’t been the perfect Husband but I thank God for giving my wife patience for my growth in being the husband God called me to be. I thank my mother Janet Barnes and my Pops James D. Barnes Sr. for raising me. I thank my mother for bringing me up with the Word of God. I thank my Father for all he has done and the special moments I have shared witnessing him singing in the Church.
To my sister Jaranda thanks for just being there for me whenever I needed you.
I wrote this book because God placed it in my heart to do it. I pray it will open the eyes of many and direct them in the right way to understand and treat a SBCW the right way through marriage by placing Jesus Christ first in our lives so He can lead us.
GGTG
Give God the Glory Amen!!!

INTRODUCTION
First off, I would like to say that marrying a strong black Christian woman is a blessing in disguise. It takes a real man to handle a real woman of God through God’s guidance. Without God I would be divorced and in the world.
The day I can truly say my walk with Christ started was when I married my Queen Ayonna Barnes and yes I married young, I was 22 years old. Just to enlighten you on my testimony and inspiration of writing this book, I will start with my past. I was lost in the world listening to rap music, fornicating, going to the club, and my focus was off of Jesus. I was what the sisters would define as a gardening tool. I was filling a void that could not be filled in my life. During this time I was in college at Fayetteville State University.
I dated all kinds of women, I didn’t discriminate. I was noticing I had a gift but I used what God blessed me with to my advantage, nothing that I am proud of. I understood women and what they wanted. God gave me discernment and at that time I use it for the wrong reasons. Through this journey I knew what kind of woman I wanted and I am not suggesting that you take this journey but every case is different. This is just my story.
Now in my childhood I lived with my father and mother until I was in middle school that was when they separated. After that I was mostly with my mother and sister, who I can say are very strong women. At that time I didn’t see
