Chapter One
It All Started With A Dream
It all started the morning of Rachel Lawrence’s thirteenth birthday. Rachel come on down your breakfast is getting cold and you’re going to be late for your ride to school.
Her mother hollered from the kitchen.
I’m coming mom I’ll be there in a minute.
Rachel replied.
Yeah right it takes her forever in the bathroom, I think she stares at herself in the mirror hoping that it will make her beautiful.
Taylor said laughing while sitting at the table eating his breakfast.
No actually while I’m starring in the mirror I ask how I can make little brothers disappear but, it didn’t work again your still hear and still annoying.
Rachel told him as she walked into the kitchen.
Ok kids no fighting today I don’t feel like hearing it.
Their mother told them.
Yeah because you know if Santa hears you being bad Taylor you’ll get nothing but, underwear and socks for Christmas, oh yeah he’s coming to your class today maybe I’ll stop by your class to tell him you should be on the naughty list.
Rachel said laughing as she grabbed a piece of toast.
I have nothing to worry about and he knows what list you’re on so he won’t believe you anyway so there, oh yeah I got to run upstairs and get my list for him.
Taylor said as he went to run upstairs to his room.
Taylor didn’t you forget to tell your sister something today?
His mother asked him.
Oh happy birthday Rachel, just think one more year older.
Taylor said as he ran upstairs.
You know that almost sounded sincere.
Rachel told her mother.
Is that all you’re having for breakfast today?
Her mom asked.
Don’t really feel like eating I’ll grab something later at school.
Rachel responded.
What’s wrong baby are you sick?
Her mom asked.
Yeah she’s sick she has that teenage disease now.
Taylor said as he walked back into the kitchen.
No I’m not sick I just had this really weird dream last night.
Rachel told her.
Was it some kind of nightmare?
Her mom asked.
No it was just weird.
Rachel said.
Why should your dreams be any different then you’re personality because that’s weird to.
Taylor said laughing.
Don’t you have a kindergarten class to get ready for?
Rachel asked him.
Remember what I said no fighting today, Taylor you go get your stuff for school and Rachel tell me about your dream.
Their mother said to them.
Alright I was at the mall but, it wasn’t our mall and I was standing in front of a large fish tank then a mermaid stuck her head out of the water and asked me if I was lost and needed directions, when I said no something that looked like a crystal coin fell on the floor in front of me then I woke up.
Rachel was telling her when she heard a knock at the door.
Well I can’t help you figure out you’re dream maybe it’s your creativity side of your brain that’s giving you stuff to write.
Her mom said smiling as she let Nicole inside.
Yeah maybe mom.
Rachel said.
So any cool birthday gifts yet?
Nicole asked.
Oh that reminds me this came for you yesterday in the mail.
Her mom told her as she picked up the envelope.
Cool maybe it’s from grandma or dad whenever they send envelopes they always equal money for me.
Rachel said as she grabbed it from her mom.
I don’t think so and I know both of their handwriting.
Her mom told her.
As Rachel opened it up a blue crystal coin with gold around it fell onto the floor and Rachel just stood there like she was paralyzed starring at it.
What’s the matter Rachel, are you alright?
Nicole asked as she picked it up off the floor.
Rachel what’s the matter?
Her mom asked.
Mom remember I told you something fell on the floor in front of me in my dream?
Rachel asked.
Yeah.
Her mom replied.
That’s what it was the same exact thing she’s holding and Nicole keep it away from me because that just proves I’m crazy.
Rachel said.
What dream Rachel?
Nicole asked as she was looking at the crystal.
I’ll tell you later was there a return address on the envelope?
Rachel asked.
No return address but, check this out it’s written on the inside of it, this crystal token will take you anywhere you dreamed to be.
Nicole read.
Maybe one of your weird friends sent it to you as a gag gift, they all know you like that kind of stuff.
Taylor said.
You know for once you might be right.
Rachel said as she took the crystal from Nicole.
"See mom she admits it her friends are weird just like her I was right all along so now can we commit her and
