Transcended

What is up there beyond the clouds? I was carried up and away, so far, far away! There I was, traveling through a cloud-looking chamber, being carried in a tunnel full of bright lights with magnificent rays of color, walking and talking with a male angel who was in heaven. What a sight to see! Just think- I was in heaven! Really, could it be true? I knew that I had traveled up somewhere off the earth, but my mind was trying to tell me something different! To think, a guy from Texas, caught up and taken to heaven. I dont want you to just read Transcended but to experience it; live it as if you are going with me.

This presence changed the atmosphere in the room. There was a new life and energy that came alive within me and on me. It overwhelmed every fiber of my being. It felt like I was being subdued totally. I felt assurance and strength. There was total peace within my mind. It seemed like I knew where I was, but I was somewhere else. My mind was alert and clear. On this day, that presence changed my life forever. The room I was in became like a thick cloud, and I was in it. This presence got stronger. I knew without any doubt that this was a visitation of some sort. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced.

Vernon Gray is the pastor of Beacon of Light Church in Spring, Texas. I wrote this book because I wanted to reach out and let everyone know about my experience when God reached out to me. I did not write this book for the church; this really has nothing to do with the church or about the church. It is simply to let everyone know about the reality of heaven; that it is a very real place, not just imaginary. People actually live there after they leave this earth, and I found out firsthand about how real God is.

Like me, you may be wondering why I was chosen to go. All I can say is what God said to me: I have brought you here so you can go back and tell everyone on earth that I am real and so is heaven. So, enjoy reading Transcended!

I lay on the floor thinking about what had just happened to me. How would I be able to explain it? I was puzzled but I knew it had happened. I knew God had taken me to heaven.

As I thought about writing this book and how I might explain it, I was not sure how I would introduce my experience in heaven where God lives. Many people have their own ideas about heaven. They may have seen it portrayed in a movie or read about it in a book. In fact, there are many books written about heaven and a number of movies also.

I know of a place called heaven because I have experienced it. It is far beyond the starry skies. One summer years ago, a friend and I were lying on the grass looking up at the stars. She said, "I wonder what’s up there? Then jokingly, I looked at her and said, That’s where the starship Enterprise is, dummy, don’t you know that? Through our laughter, we kept looking up and smiling. I then grew very serious and said, No, that is where heaven is! That is also where God lives." At this point I was only going by what other people would say; I was really just showing off.

Some people imagine God sitting on His throne giving orders. They may think that He will throw lightning bolts and zap them into the abyss if they were bad. You need to know that God is not like that.

To others, heaven is a place of tranquility and peace. You may have your own picture of heaven in your mind what you think it should be. Now let me describe to you my experience; of how I was transcended into heaven.

Does it really exist? Can I go?

People everywhere want to go to heaven when they hear about it. You can just mention the word heaven, and it brings new meaning to the notion of life after death. Could there be a place beyond our wildest imaginations and our dreams? Is there more to our life
