For an autographed copy of Grandpa's Chicken Soup visit my web-site at www.debbiedooscreations.com. My name is Debra L. Marlar, and I live in Lincoln, NE. To most who know me I am Deb or Debbie. I am also known as Deb by Mike, my husband of 35 years, Mom, Grandma or Grammy, daughter (Debbie Doo), sister (Debbie). Now that I am a Grandmother of four beautiful Grandchildren the feeling of wanting to pass on and build lasting memories has grown tremendously so my experience with one of the warmest days in my life is what I have shared with you in my book. As I was growing up my Grandpa, Abe (Abram) Bornstein was a big part of my growing up. He not only taught me to tell time, play gin rummy, and make this great soup, he taught me that the bond and love between the generations is something that will stay in my heart and soul all my life. In writing this book I wanted to share just one day in which, I too pass on to my grandchildren, Grandpas Chicken Soup. So please take the time, go out and make a memory with your little loved ones.

This book is dedicated to my family especially my husband Mike, who had to endure listening to all of my poems. Thank you to Michelle & Marc, and Jeremy & Jenny who gave us four lovely Grandchildren, Morgan & Michael, and Alexis & Blake, all also captive audience to listen to my writings.
Thanks for listening…
Much Love to All,
Deb/Mom/Grandma/Grammy/Grammy Honey
Thanks also to the rest of my family, and some dear friends for letting me share a poem or two over these past few years.
You are all truly an inspiration to my writing.
Love Life,
Debbie

Once Upon A Time
Alexis Marlar
Your Mom and Dad kept a great big secret.
It was hard for them we know.
They didn’t want for us to guess.
We had to wait we knew it best.
But they kept us waiting at the door.
Two more hours, how much more?
The day you came we were so glad.
You’re the best little secret they ever had.
Written with all my love,
Grandma Marlar

Another Father’s Day
Today we celebrate another Father’s Day,
It is a day for rejoicing and a day for play.
With a great big cup of coffee or whatever he may drink,
This is the day we celebrate and tell him what we think.
We will remind him how much he means to us each and every day,
And try to make him see that we appreciate him all the way.
He helps us with our homework, and teaches us his skills,
Throughout the year he guides us although we have strong wills.
Our Fathers will teach us the lessons that we all need to know,
They will help to get us by and help us as we grow.
So as we celebrate Another Father’s Day,
We just want to thank you; we are your modeling clay.
So teach us all you can and when we all celebrate,
We will tell everyone we know, that we think You’re Great.
Happy Father’s Day
