About this ebook
My father spent his final years creating a life story and picture book based on his life. This is my attempt to create an ebook from that effort.
In his recent obituary, my sister described him perfectly with the following: He never knew a stranger, only friends that he hadn’t met yet. He will be deeply missed

A little Addition to my book
Our family has grown in the years sense I started this little book and health change’s have come about. I’ll try to fill you in on these changes that came about and how some of my thoughts have changed over the last few year’s
First off how the family has grown. First off on September 19, 2015 Marj and I gained a new grandson and a new great granddaughter. Oh I know I’m should say in-laws but we don’t use that term. This happened when our granddaughter married Shane Sigler and in that marriage came Lily Sigler our now 15 year old. We are so glad to welcome them both to our bunch. Shane is a PA working at Orthopedic Northwest where Abby is a Rad tech. Welcome to the family. The next addition was a cute little boy born to Greg and Mel. Greyson born June 9 2019. He is all boy full of "how dose that work, what will happen if I flip that switch etc. I think he’ll be a baseball pitcher with that arm he has. If he throws you a ball you better be ready. Then came Ruby Duke Sigler on July 26th 2019. I thought that would be the end but Greg and Mel have one on the way. More to love.
Both Marj and I have had some health problems. First Marj was diagnosed with Non Small Cell Lung Cancer. She is being treated with Tarciva a pill that has done wonders to control the spread and has shrunk a large growth to one that is hard to see. Things are looking good now. She lost over 50 pounds but is now on the slow gain. She is doing well and life is good.
I now have Pulmonary fibrosis for the last year and a half but see no or little affect form it. Not taking any treatment or meds for it so just test once a year and live life.
Now for some thoughts and feelings. Let’s talk about hugs. They come from all kinds of people and are always welcomed, well almost, but they seem to say different things. You always get hugs from your kid’s that are huggers and those hugs are not always the same. Some say see you later and some say I need some love today. You feel that more in the grandchildren and Great Grandchildren it seems.. I guess we have all had that hug that says going home now see you next time
and they are so nice to have. Then there’s the ones that say hold me tight I need to feel love today
. Those can break your heart. Thank God those don’t come often but when they do you can feel it all the way to your sole. Then you have to try and understand it this is just a today thing or is it a my life is not what it should be thing. Kids have a way of letting you know so pay attention.
Wedding officiating.. On April 8th 2017 I had the honor of performing my grandson Greg and Melissa’s wedding. It was for sure an honor. The wedding was very nice, Mel did a great job of decorating. "Thanks for letting me do this. Then on July 1st I did my 2nd wedding for Kyle Morris and Summer Baker. I’m now retired from weddings.
The Love of Little People (kid’s)
Today as I was holding my little great granddaughter, sharing some fruit loops and watching Charlotte’s Web for the who knows how many times, that I got to wondering just what it is that makes us love them so much. Couldn’t be the diaper changes, the food spills, the toys all over the floor? Could it be something much more complex. Then something came to mind. You do not love all little people the same. Seems those that come from your bloodline are a little more lovable then those of friends. Those little people of other people, not your friends, are even less appealing. Guess I will have to think on that awhile.
Now I am thinking of some of the good and bad things of little people. They take a nap that you need as much as they do. Good thing. Say to you I poop
diaper change. Bad thing. Ub oo, Love you for those that do not speak little people, Good thing. Spill there food all over when eating. Bad thing. I guess this list could go on and on
