About this ebook

I am a physical Jew who accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior at the age of 40. I am now 68. You would consider me a Messianic Jew, whom God lifted off the veil spoken of in Isiah 6:10; 29:10, and in Romans 11:7-10, 25, and in John 12:40. I wondered in the wilderness for 40 years in the dark.

I am also a retired physician of Internal Medicine, and thus interested in the relationship between the spirit, soul, and brain. Also, as a Jew who can now see the light, I can see why God allowed the Holocaust to occur, as dreadful as it was. But I also see in the near future, the end of this age, a more severe calamity befalling my people the Jews, called Th e Time of Jacobs Trouble (Jer 30:7) or the Great Tribulation (Dan 12:1), under an even worse leader, the AntiChrist.

I am also greatly concerned about the Doctrines of the Pretribulation Rapture and Imminency, and desire to show you why these Doctrines are in error. My main source of Bible study is the Bible itself, and the help of the Greek meaning of certain words.

    Introduction:

But I also see in the near future, the end of this age, a more severe calamity befalling my people the Jews, called The Time of Jacob’s Trouble (Jer 30:7) or the Great Tribulation (Dan 12:1), under an even worse leader, the AntiChrist.

I am also greatly concerned about the Doctrines of the Pretribulation Rapture and Imminency, and desire to show you why these Doctrines are in error. My main source of Bible study is the Bible itself, and the help of the Greek meaning of certain words.

    1) The primary issues concerning the Doctrine of Pretribulation Rapture of the Church:

    1. Separating the coming and the gathering in 2 Thes 2:1, and not recognizing both as an integral, simultaneous part of the Day of the Lord. This is the catalyst for the origin of the Pretrib Doctrine.

    2. Having the whole 7 years of the 70th week of Daniel, the so-called Tribulation, represent God’s Wrath or Judgements.

    3. Making MT 24 represent only Israel.

    4. Wrong interpretation of who the martyrs are in Rev 6, 5th Seal, and who the multitude in Heaven are in Rev 7, 6th Seal.

    5. Doctrine of Imminency.

We need to first define certain terms by what scripture alone says, and how they relate to each other:

    1. The Coming of the Lord, to show that the coming and the gathering (Rapture) cannot be separated; and Coming in Glory, to show that when Christ comes this way, it is both, to gather His church and to immediately thereafter, pour out His Judgements.

    2. The Day of the Lord

    3. The End of the Age

    4. When God’s wrath (Judgements) begin and who pours them out.

    5. The 70th week of Daniel

    6. The Great Tribulation, when it occurs and how long it will last.

    7. Who are the great multitude in Heaven in Rev 7:9

    8. Who are the Elect in the N.T.

    1) The Coming of the Lord and His Coming in Glory:

The Greek word for coming as used in the following versus is Parousia which means Arrival and a consequent ongoing presence with. It is a process; not something that is instantaneous, here one minute and gone the next like a thief. Other terms used to describe His coming in Glory are: His appearance, His Revelation, and Coming with or in clouds.

MT 24:3 – His disciples ask him What shall be the sign (singular) of thy coming, reflecting back on when they saw Jesus rebuke the Scribes and Pharisees in MT 23:38-39.

MT 24:27 – Jesus tells his disciples the sign (singular) of His coming. As the lightening cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. The Lord will come in Glory (Shekinah).

MT 24:30 And then shall appear the sign (singular) of the son of man in heaven. When will this occur? (V.29) tells us. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, there will be a cosmic disturbance (sun darkened and stars fall from heaven), then the sign shall appear. He will appear in Glory, then. His Glory will light up the universe that has been totally darkened.

Immediately after what tribulation? MT 24:21 – the Great Tribulation (also called The Time of Jacob’s Trouble (Jer 30:7)) which is brought about by (V.15), the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet standing in the Holy Place. This refers back to Dan 9:27, described as the 70th week of Daniel, and it tells us that the Antichrist will cause this Abomination of the Temple in the middle of the 70th week. The Jews presently desire to rebuild their temple.

MT 24:37 – The coming of the Son of man will be like when the flood suddenly came on the unregenerate world in the days of Noah.

MT 24:39 – Similar to V.37 with regard to the coming.

MT 24:46 – The Parable of whether or not the servant will be faithful when the Lord comes. It is important to note that MT 24:31 says And He shall send His Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His Elect. Don’t overlook the fact that 1 Thes 4:16 also speaks of the Archangel and a trumpet sound; and 1 Cor 15:52 also speaks of the last trump; both referring to the Rapture.

There are other versus that will be included in this list that show the Lord’s coming with his Angels: (MT 16:27; MT 25:31; MK 13:26-27; LK 9:26; 1 Thes 3:13; 2 Thes 1:7-10)

MT 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in His Glory with all the Holy Angels, He will sit upon His throne. The latter will happen after He, with the use of his Angelic Host, pours out His Judgements (wrath) on the unregenerate world.

MT 26:64 Hereafter, you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of Heaven; stated before the Sanhedrin during His trial before He was crucified. He told them he was going to return in glory with power, meaning He was going to pour out His wrath.

MT 16:27 The Son of man shall come in the Glory of His Father with His Angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his work. The Greek meaning of reward here is recompense and is the same word used in 2 Tim 4:14 and Rev 18:6, both in terms of bad works. This indicates that He is referring to His coming with His Angels to render Judgement. (Similar to MT 25:31 and 1 Thes 3:13)

1 Cor 1:7-8 Waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (V.8) – Who shall confirm you unto the End, that you may be blameless in the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have here 3 different important terms: Coming, End, and Day of our Lord. His coming will be at the End of the Age which corresponds to the Day of the Lord. (I will define the latter 2 terms later).

1 Cor 11:26 – speaking of the Communion, partaking of the elements until He comes. Also, in LK 22:19-20, Jesus spoke of the Communion (The New Testament in His Blood) to His Apostles, the foundation of the Church, who are Jews. The Communion is not for Israel. The Church is to partake of the communion until He returns to gather it, not to gather the Jews at the end of the 70th wk (Tribulation period).

1 Cor 15:23-24 Christ is the First Fruit (Resurrection), afterward, they that are Christ’s at His coming. It speaks of the resurrection of His Church. (V.24) – Then, comes the End (The Final consummation of the End of the Age, when He will deliver up the Kingdom to God, after He has poured out His wrath).

1 Thes 2:19 Our hope and joy is when we are present together before our Lord at His coming.

1 Thes 3:13 To the End, He may establish your hearts unblamable in Holiness before God at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all of His Saints. Paul is speaking of the Lord coming with His saints for the Church at the End of the Age, a church that is unblamable and Holy before God. Saints here are Angels (Holy Ones). The Church can’t come for the Church. The following versus show that Saints can be called Angels: Job 5:1; 15:15; Ps 89:5-8; Dan 8:13; Zech 14:5; Deut 33:2; Jude 14-15. These are the same Angels spoken of in MT 25:31; MT 24:31; MT 16:27; and
