Fourth Dimension: Free Spirited Spoken Word in Written Form

About this ebook
Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Marcus Thareal Kidd Cureton chose the wrong crowds to hang with. Selling drugs to keep up with the in-crowd, he knew that it wouldnt last long; but he continued to live that type of lifestyle because it was normal where he came from. When he was only nine, Marcus found his gift and passion for writing and making his own comic books to entertain his friends.
He also embraced poetry as a way to express himself freely. At the age of eighteen, after dropping out of high school, he went to prison for attempted murder and first-degree murder for his part in a drug deal gone bad. Feeling the pain and remorse as they began to take a toll on him, Marcus found his gift once again. His writing provided a way for him to escape the reality of his situation. He wrote of his heartaches and pains; his ups and downs; and his desire to get back into the outside world to help build stronger youth.
Fourth Dimension is a poetic explosion of heartfelt emotions as the tears of reality strike. You can feel the authors emotion in each and every word of his poetry.

This commonly used word [Nigga] by rappers, hip-hopsters, young African Americans and Urbanized society is not to be confused with the word Nigger.
The word Nigger -which in the early dictionaries- means an ignorant person. At least we know who made that definition, huh? Well, shall I say that this word was given to us by white America to downgrade us in the worst way possible back in slavery days! They were trying to brain wash us into believing that we were less than the crud at the bottom of their foot wear.
The word ‘Nigger’ was derived from a place and a river titled Niger which is located in the continent of Africa. The Niger River flows 2,600 miles from Guinea through Mali, Niger, and Nigeria into the Golf of Guinea. This is also a place where traders would travel with slaves as they used Africans as a product to move them all over the globe, thus giving us the name that has taunted the true power behind our existence then and today.
We as a people of the African decent take offense to this word because of what it stands for; much more than any dictionary could try to describe. This word creates tears and misogyny in our hearts. Being as we are, a strong race and people, a newer generation of us has taken that word and bent it. Twisting its natural meaning and formed this word N.I.G.G.A. It could mean just what the late rapper Tu-Pac said, "Never ignorant and getting goals accomplished …" or it could be embraced as the analytical term of my fellow brothers of the struggle -like most young black men explain it to be. We may never know; but it still will create some type of argument, fierce emotions, disappointment and disagreement within the African American culture and many others.
Now, I don’t want you to embrace this word if you have not done it already, but I just ask that you don’t take offense to it as you come across it in this book or any other of my works. I merely use it to describe the particular emotions of anger and heart felt demeanor in this book. We all have to express ourselves some way; sometimes it’s with words that need not be used. Thank you and May God be with us all!
INTRODUCTION
What’s My Art
It’s that system of rhythm, artistic criticism and deep down reprimand of a life long agenda;
I saw no justice for all, first I stood up then had to fall, and then everyone could see it in my walk;
Long strides in my days as I ran in that maze, while trapped in my cage, and then finally woke up out of my daze;
Then I heard it as it was calling and stood up after falling, standing firm on my feet because I had a mission to complete;
I didn’t give in to defeat, because I knew that history would repeat;
I released the safety and reloaded, just aimed at
