Maria was born in Portugal, in a small town up north, located in a valley surrounded by mountains. At twenty years old, she decided to embark on an exciting new adventure and moved to England, where she has resided ever since.
Maria’s educational background might not include creative-writing qualifications; however, writing has always been present throughout her life. She successfully wrote and directed three theatre screenplays while at college in Portugal, and she attended a short creative-writing and poetry course when she moved to England.
Only in recent years has Maria realised that the written word has always been present by her side, waiting for her to acknowledge and cherish it. Now, it’s one of her passions! As a result of this, Maria has compiled a collection of poems based on life events, views, and opinions. Road to Self-Discovery: Liberation is Maria’s first published book.view less
