Preface

One day builds and another falls away, questions grow through every span of time and space. Where are we going? Can the plan be changed? Are we in control or does someone control our fate? Why is there pain and sorrow all over the place, is it just a random coincidence or destiny that was stated. Looking half full or half empty at our case; will we live forever or die at a fast rate? Mostly the answers never come our way. Some don’t pay attention while others trust in faith. Leaning to the fact that another is in our way; but, who or what is this entity and do we stand or sway? Are there rules for life and can they stand to break? Why do some believe and others strive through hate? Filling every second are questions we do state, yet every passing minute answers aren’t on the way. The truth is; however, there’re ever present if we use time to take our eyes off of us in particular, and look beyond the skies. Yes inside the heavens but not in the Milky Way, beyond our own conception to another place. Imagine all the order of the universe and its structure we partake. The way it’s all chaotic but somehow ordered strait. Is this mere karma, something that is just this way, or is it something more created perfectly? The answer’s obvious to both sides of the argument; for those who believe in God, without Him the universe would not exist. For those who do not, the truth is simply this; molecules act in predictive and uniquely different patterns and the universe results in this. How one can be sure is the question we’ll address through minute perceptive patterns that we all have a chance to get. And yes this is one sided as seen from the words that you’ll get but I am of one side that’s hot for God and that is it. So sit back and enjoy go through with joy and zeal as I reflect in prose why I know He is real. Compelled by the seal seen dynamically over time, the perspective from which I speak cannot be found in natural minds. It’s more than designs on shirts, cars or signs as seen on TV or a word that we speak. From kids in the street or a pastor that you meet who insists upon a message delivered eloquently. Specifically when we meet past the brazen alter onto the brass laver; reflecting the image of Christ God desires to savor. He’s perfectly patient in His intent to meet your every need openly and in secret. No need to express beyond what needs to be said as long as it’s confessed through faith which is said. Not known for second guessing but fit for the fight illuminating wrestled thoughts both day and night. Found through His favor to lead throughout the night diligently proceeding until covered in light. Known unto many who yield through faith and savored by thousands blessed through His grace; God exists and from this evidence we will see His pace. Abraham waiting for a threshold blessing, Isaac sacrificed as the ram became the proper dressing, Jacob holding on fit for the fight; intent to stay faithful both day and night. Moses out of waters meant for his death, Caleb and Joshua bold to the last breath. Hundreds of Judges, priests and men from Adam’s creation to John’s revelation and all in between including you and me; exist to be tools for the Trinity. From the breath of life until day is gone away, the beginning of time and of course it’s ending. Named for His existence through the concepts of man simply expressed I AM that I AM. Anointed through Christ, confident to stand we are thine’s as seen in this zeal; composed a peculiar people expressed as Israel.

Introduction

This book is unlike any other you will ever read. The thoughts within its pages are poetic, didactic, expository, deliberate and not very politically correct. I like it like that because too many Christians, myself included, have danced around the topics of life without making a stand. As explained in the preface our world is built on questions surrounding life with no real avenues for answers beyond theory, or in the believer’s case, faith. Being scientific at heart, it was hard for me to establish my set of belief’s as to which side was right. I am of the show me mentality but God does not always act that way or does he? Many times I found myself in the mist of answering major questions about my humanity and God’s existence but I was not sensitive to the realizations. I am sure many people have replied to these instances as coincidence, déjà vu or some other logical occurrence. However, when these events are extrapolated together over a span of time in one’s life, the question must be asked is it just me or is it more than just happen stance.

This moment occurs for everyone at various points for some it is young in life for other’s it takes time. For Victor E. Frankl it occurred while surviving in a concentration camp. Seeing the mass murder of many is one way for a person to lose touch with society and develop and apathy to anything theological; but, for him, the results were quite different. Confronted with both dehumanizing treatment and extraordinary acts of simple kindness from both guards and fellow prisoners Frankl was forced to make a realization about his attitude towards the unknown. These varying events took both the prisoner and watchmen of the camps to places beyond social acceptance and general kindness. They open the eyes of the weak to the beauty of nature, art and the strength of God. They cause the weary to cling to a hope in the future without the bondage experienced in the present and develops a truth in the realization that salvation can be found in and through love.

As for me my point of realization came after I had gone through life for 28 years thinking I had everything figured out. I was involved with the church, I was embarking on a new life as an officer in the military and I was ready to enjoy all that life had to offer. The problem was I had not fully come to grips with who God really was or what my do response should be towards him. I had all the boxes checked. I was involved in church, sang on the choir even lead praise and worship, I was on the usher board and went as far as to have been asked to speak a sermon in the pastor’s absence. Unfortunately through all these wonderful achievements I fell victim to walking in faith without God and that sort of blindness always leads to a fall. With respect to my family and all that we went through as a result of that condition I will not divulge the full details of what occurred in this setting because that’s not the purpose of this book nor is it a motivating factor. In fact it was one of the best things that could have happened to me. Similar to the rise of Moses after killing the Egyptian, I found myself face to face with my own burning bush completely transparent before God and humbled by his compassion. It was in this moment of time that I began my return from my spiritual road to Damascus and entered a desert experience where the devil tempted me over and over again. I must admit I was not as profound as Christ in speaking the word against him but in time I learned that I did not have to fight the battle alone because it wasn’t my battle to fight. I learned to take me out of the equation and place Jesus Christ’s image at the proverbial brass laver so I could enter the inner court.

As we all know, whether you are willing to believe the historical Jesus to be God’s Son or not, taking a stand was the greatest thing He ever did. All religions hold this fact to be true. Some call Him a servant of God or a mighty prophet. Others call Him a slave to God working as an instrument to bring God’s will to pass. Coupled with His amazing capacity to do whatever the Father required of Him; there is no wonder why we consider Him the only Godman. With every inch of his being he completed every request God desired for him to do and in doing so, provided a great example for you and I to see truth. The fact that God is intimately concerned and considerate of each and every one of us, and knowing that his love is the only thing that separates us from the bondage of death should be the propellant to fuel our faith in living holy.

There is no doubt it is hard to live in this society that forces you to adapt to their way of thinking. From the dress of their apparel to the words that are used to dilute morality. Minds are conformed to a loose form of actions in order to corrupt young women to believe being a sexual object is there natural order, whether it is for male or female and enforce dark desires on impressionable young men. This constant on slot of corruption is the leading cause to the dying Christian and morally deceased. It has been in effect for many generations and what is being exposed to the masses is not new by any means. However, it seems as with the introduction of the internet and the increased means of media in the information age the maneuver, which was so stealthy for the devil and difficult to introduce to the masses even as a fad, has become the norm. In the past those who were considered to be Christians were known by their actions not just by their confession. Elders and Ladies of high regard could be seen throughout communities and their voice for moral consideration and brotherly love could definitely be heard.

This book is an attempt at shedding some light on issues of faith which many people are secretly facing. It covers a wide variety of topics and introduces scripture that was revealed to me through the Holy Spirit as I mediated on His intent for my life. My intent for you the reader is to give the lost an upfront view of what one person received to be right. I say one person because when it comes to religion, there are many perspectives out there and only one right one, God’s. He alone can spark the faith required to live towards salvation; not tradition, the courage to stand in the midst of condemnation and not conform, the hope that one day heaven will welcome us and not hell. These poems were inspired by the Holy Ghost soon after I rededicated my life to follow Christ with every bit of being. I lived a long time getting it almost right doing my own things, I praise God that after my fall I was able to get up and realize I needed to figure out what God had to say about the matter.

It is my sincere hope that one of these verses touches that person who is wondering where is God and why isn’t He doing something to prevent all the pain they are experiencing. I pray this book will provide a guide through the thoughts of a new Christian striving to separate himself from his former life in the world. Finally this book is for the mature Christian who is seeking for a better way to serve God, in spirit and in truth. I pray that all the various facets of faith in Christ’s work on the cross can be seen in this book and it provides the same guidance that I received after it was revealed to me.

In the words of Paul who wrote in Ephesians 3: 17-21: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

What do you need?

I would submit to you that the question at hand is; what do you really need? It is the kind of question that has plagued man throughout centuries. This question has brought more doubt than any other question in the world. It has been often understated and hidden so many can’t see. It is closely related to the biggest question of life "What is my purpose? And, why am I here? Or, what do you want from me? I am sure this has been asked by every man, woman, boy and girl. The reality is that you will never be able to answer these questions until you decide which side you are going to choose. The options are to live for this life only and enjoy its spoils for a season, and the other is to live on Earth as you expect to live in Heaven for to get there you must follow the rules. There are no other options because there are no other end states. Either you believe in GOD in Heaven or you can pick out of hell your real estate. I hate to put the choice so blunt, but sometimes that’s exactly what it takes; for if you don’t think of it that way then the more difficult your choice will be to make.

Some people become deceived from the pains that have occurred in their past. They are blinded by past actions that may have cause pain which still last. They can tell you everything that someone has done to them, but what they won’t tell you is that the past still has them in bondage. This bondage is kept in the absences of forgiveness, which seems to be what many people cannot do. They would much rather bring their case to Judge Judy or some other talk show or someone who will take their side so the pain will not feel so bad. Why not take it to the person who has already taken away all the sins of the world by the request of His heavenly Dad? Even as Galatians 1:4 says "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of GOD and our Father." Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice to bring us back to the fold, that we may have a chance for eternal life, if we let our true colors show. But the problem goes back to those who are confused and cannot see. They desire the wonderful gifts of GOD, but refuse to serve Him completely. You cannot expect to achieve anything in this life without first working for it. Whether or not you do it legally or with deception, you still have to take the time to plan for it. Well the same must be done to gain the gift of salvation, but the trick is there is only one way in you must decide to put aside your pride and let Jesus Christ win.

Just think of the place that you would like to go and the only way that you can get there. If you believe that there is a heaven and a hell, then you must choose your actions with care. For Jesus is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. He was there it the height of creation and He will be there when this life of ours ends. Don’t you think He’s keeping tabs of everything that you have ever done? Don’t you think He will protect those who have stood up for Him? It’s not too strange to imagine this because it says in the word in Jeremiah 23:23-24, "Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. This proves there is no place that you can hide because the Lord is omnipresent. He can see each and every action that you choose to do or not do for Him. You can see the gift of obedience to GOD in Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." So if we are servants to the Lord and follow His will for our lives not only will we bask in righteousness, but we shall be protected in this life. What better covering could you possibly need? What easier decision could you make if you want to be free?

In the past of American history we learned of the passions of our great state. In every portion of their actions GOD took first in place. Before every meeting or decision there was a prayer, even in the ceremonies we conduct now that element is still there. Just think of the Civil rights movement and how it was brought about, through prayer many people’s lives were changed and now we have its resulting freedom to talk about. Think of the Civil War and how we as Americans became free. Prayer was the only thing those brave soldiers had to keep them going and motivated to fight courageously. Think about slavery and its affect on all of our lives. Prayer was the element that made the darkest of circumstances seem somewhat bright. Think of all those races that have ever been under captivity, they were able to survive because there was something that kept them completely. We even use the power of God in lives of our Code, We say we will trust in our GOD and it’s even written on the money we hold. How great would our society be if we all just practiced what we preached? How easily would the pains of life end if we took the time to live for GOD completely? Just imagine if you would a life that is totally conformed just like that, I’m sure you would enjoy it as much as I would and there would be no reason for Jesus to hurry and come back. But the reality of it is that many people don’t feel as though living abundantly is what they need, and they would rather just live for today and be happy for a season.

What do you really need take the time out to ask yourself? How much could 30 minutes a day in prayer really help your health? How much could reading the word of GOD bring illumination in your life? How much could fasting and submitting to God make the decisions you make easier to decide? I would submit to you friends if you have not made a choice, don’t wait until it’s too late. You have nothing of real importance to lose and everything to gain. Die to your flesh daily and choose to let the Holy Spirit show how to live right, then all your questions will be answered to begin with What is my purpose in life?

Who is GOD to you?

Are you sure, that you are serving the right GOD? Do you ever stop to ask yourself, am I doing the right thing? As men we have a tendency to be logical when things seem odd, and easy to follow when others join in. Because of this contrast, it is easy to see how we can fall short, by falling into a religion, which does not have Jesus within. Now when I speak of a religion what I mean is a ritual action towards a certain belief; which is to say, that you follow a doctrine that you feel as though you need. This doctrine can be seen in the actions you conduct outwardly and the things you hold in your mind of your deity above. Let’s look at some of these things and what they desire of you and hopefully discover if what you worship is true.

It would take a long time to discuss all the religions in the world so I would not attempt to conquer that feat; besides it’s not fair to talk about another until I speak on mine, Christianity. I know it is a large faith base with many denominations; who can you clarify them all completely? But when you get down to it and look all the way through it, it’s not all that difficult in all actuality. It can be broken down into sections that will tell you what they believe and the ones that are not fully in GOD can be broken down into three. The first we will discuss is simple if you believe, for within yourself you can claim anything to be true if you need. This one is the religion that concentrates on the mental. It feeds your need to be right and fits you where you need it to. It controls your allegiance by its ritualistic set times, you know you get to church do the
