Has your life ever resembled a chaotic web around you? Have you ever made what seemed like one wrong choice after another, which ultimately made you a permanent citizen of rock bottom? If so, you werent there alone. I was probably your next door neighbor.
I struggled for years through what seemed like one disaster after another. My life was storm, after storm, and in 2004, I truly hit bottom. It was at that time in my life, that I received a spiritual awakening and a touch from God. You see, I had reached a point so low, that only Gods hand could rescue me. Throughout this spiritual journey, I wrote this book of poetry, hoping to cleanse my soul, while offering encouragement to someone else who might be experiencing some of the same misfortune and pain. As we face the eve of the return of Jesus, we must realize what’s at hand,

We are called to be a mighty army in this lost and dying land.

We must not give up, and we must not back down,

We must fight this ever raging battle, until every soul is found.

How much does it mean to you, to be given God’s permission,

To be a soldier in his army, we must be on a mission?

We must wake up every day, with one thing on our minds,

"Seek, search, and save a soul, from this evil stricken time.

We are soldiers, yes we are, and as soldiers we must fight,

We must battle the prince of this world, until we make our final flight.

So, I urge you now to recognize what you’ve been called to do,

Our commander has a specific job for every one of you.

So let’s join hands together, and make a stand today,

To be an army on a mission, for Jesus Christ today.

In the darkest hour of my life, you walked in out of nowhere,

The lonely days, the painful nights, just seemed to disappear.

The whole thing seemed surreal to me, for I didn’t understand,

The comfort that it brought my soul, to know you were my friend.

Time has proven to be on our side, bringing happiness to us both,

And we realize that the bond we share has made us more than close.

In a few joyful months, we fell in love, and tied the knot together,

Promising commitment and love-the kind that lasts forever.

It would be a lie to say our road has been one easily traveled,

We’ve had our ups and downs, and sometimes we’ve felt unraveled.

But the truth is that those difficult times have a purpose that is real,

They have helped us to grow closer and have helped us both to heal.
