    Chapter One

Other than the pain in her throat all Natalie could focus on was the throbbing between her legs. Rhys had crashed into her life, sank his teeth into her throat and his cock into her sex, and then was gone. She’d come to The Toy Box on a dare from her girlfriends. They were regulars and were determined to get her laid, even if they had to pay someone. They didn’t have to; Rhys had snatched her from the dancefloor, his intense and surreal golden eyes pleading with her, his cock pressed against her back as he seduced her. After a few short rounds he’d bit her, then was gone.

She’d always thought to become a vampire you had to be drained and have your blood replaced with some of theirs. Apparently the myths were exactly that, just myths. He’d filled her in other ways and only took a small amount of blood. Yet she’d woken up in a booth, her gums throbbing, her pussy aching with need, and her tits so swollen a stiff breeze across her hardened nipples would make her come.

What the fuck was going on with her? She was no prude, but she’d never been one to need sex. It was fun when she got some, but she was just fine with her own hand when she needed a quick release of any pressure. Now?

All she could smell in the club was sex, sweat, pussy, and lust. It wrapped around her like a blanket, caressed her like fingers. She needed…she didn’t know what she needed. She just knew she was beyond uncomfortable and her skin felt on fire.

Wandering through the club in a daze something caught her attention – everything was different. The bartender was a different male, the DJ was now a woman, even the guy standing at the door was a totally different person. How fucking long had she been out? Did the staff find her in the booth half naked and unconscious and just leave her there? Either that or they’d had a shift change at some point. That had to be it…right?

You look lost, a male voice said from behind her. The moment that deep voice hit her ears everything south of her naval clenched. She hadn’t even seen his face yet and she was ready to bend over and put her ass in the air like a cat in heat.

Natalie turned, hoping his face matched his voice and was more than pleased. Her eyes traveled up until she had to crane her neck to see him. She wasn’t exactly short at five foot six, but this man was damn near seven or more inches taller than she was. His shoulders blocked out the light behind him and his eyes were a strange hue of grey. No, gold with grey and blue rings; was he similar to Rhys?

I am, kind of. I’m not sure what the fuck is going on, she admitted, then clamped her lips shut. Why did she say that? She didn’t want some dude taking advantage of her naiveté, and she sure couldn’t afford for anyone else to take any of her blood, nor did she want to wake up in some corner again.

Well, he started, his eyes full of humor, his lips stretching into a smile. You’re in The Toy Box, you appear to have been changed at some point, and I can tell you what you’re probably feeling right now is called the Moon Heat.

What? she said. This dude must’ve thought she was stupid or something. Yeah, it appeared she was different, more than likely changed, but people didn’t go into heat, animals did. Then again…she was no longer human. "Why
