She took two steps and stuttered to a halt as her eyes wandered from the polished marble floor over to the thick stone pillars that supported the sweeping balcony above. She felt terribly out of place.

The sound snapped Ellie out of her temporary trance, and she spun around to face the person who had spoken. A stunningly beautiful woman stood not far away, looking at Ellie with a friendly but bemused smile.

One look at that woman instantly made Ellie feel inadequate to be in her presence. She had long, straight, raven black hair that fell all the way to the thick leather belt that circled her tiny waist. Her deep blue eyes were piercing and confident, and they made Ellie feel tiny when they swept over her. Even the woman's clothing was a stunning combination of sexy and professional, like something an actress in a movie would wear.

Hi, I'm... Ellie paused then, trying to organize her thoughts so she wouldn't sound like a silly country bumpkin. I'm Ellie Morse, the new intern.
