About this ebook
As Jonathan went to take his first sip of wine, he heard a car pull up outside his apartment block. Normally such an occurrence wouldn't even become noticed, but nobody who lived here would possibly be able to afford a Mercedes SUV. Particularly one with black windows and a fresh polish. His mundane life as he knows it, was about to change.

Hermes Watch - Clement Scott
Chapter 1
Beep! Beep Beep!
He knew what that noise means. Thor knew what that noise means. And anybody with half a brain can probably figure out what that noise is.
He was asleep. He's still half asleep. He was pretty sure that before he was interrupted, he was having a very pleasant dream about...no wait. He was having a very unpleasant dream about... Actually maybe it was pleasant. Either way, he forgot about it immediately as soon as the screaming robot woke him.
Although to Jonathan the noise meant time to get up, for Thor, it was the bell to summon him to breakfast. Through droopy eyes with thick bags, Jonathan looked at his dog. Thor was a big bundle of scruff, with a long nose, small pricked ears, and a playful face that could fool anyone into thinking the 6 year old was much younger.
Knowing that the longer he waited, the more excited Thor would get, Jonathan got out of bed to feed his furry companion.
Before he could have his own breakfast, Jonathan would have to make sure that he was clean. It's not like this was enforced by law or anything, but he simply could not sit down at a table and eat if he was dirty.
The initial shock of the cold water threw him further into awakeness, but as the water became warmer, he covered himself in shower gel and became clean.
After his shower, he put on his usual breakfast attire of sweatpants and t-shirt.
To start him off, Jonathan had a cup of tea. Even in the summer, he grabbed the mug with both hands to warm them up. This was being done more out of habit than out of coldness. As he drunk his tea, he prepared for himself some jam on toast.
Jonathan's Thor walking attire was almost identical to his breakfast attire but with one distinct difference. The dog walking attire has trainers.
Within a matter of minutes after finishing his breakfast, Jonathan was out on the street, walking Thor.
Despite having lived in the same place for almost three years now, Thor was still interested in everything that smelled slightly different to how it normally did. After ten minutes of walking, and a couple of pees, it was time for the pair to go back home.
Having just been for his morning walk, Thor jumped onto the couch and settled down for the day.
One good thing about where Jonathan worked was that they were fairly liberal about what he could wear, with no official uniform, anything that looked relatively smart was on the table. Layed out for him, by him, the night before, were a pair of black trousers, and a blue shirt that he would be wearing with the top button undone and no tie. Of course, he also had a pair of Oxfords.
With his smart clothes on, and his hair combed nicely, it was time for him to leave.
You be a good boy for daddy Thor. You take good care of the apartment whilst I'm gone
Thor looked at him before resting his head again.
Interpreting that as a
