    Okay, you want to hear about it? I'll tell you, but you can't interrupt. You can't. I can't go through it, but one more time, you hear?

    I'd just tried to turn on the kiln to warm it up so I could fire some coffee mugs though I don't know why. I mean, here it was Friday and next Monday I needed five thousand dollars to pay the mortgage or the bank would repo the house. I tried looking for work, but no one'll hire a person my age, and I never really thought the bank would kick me out even though everyone said Mr. Hobbs was mean enough to evict Mary and Joseph.
