    New Edinburgh Space Station, Seventh Day Fourth Month, 3000 A.E.

         The next day, Shanti woke up late and took her breakfast in bed. Her headache subsided into the sort of dull ache that didn't make it the forefront of one's thoughts, but still did not allow for complete clarity of thought. With that came exhaustion, which hit her like a pile of bricks. She sipped her tea and reflected she'd never been this tired before.

        Mrs. Banks came into her room after breakfast. The stern woman's eyebrows were creased in concern. Are you well?

       Mostly just tired, Shanti said, still sitting in bed. 

        Mrs. Banks nodded. It is a lot to take in. You've had a most exciting several days.

       Indeed, Shanti said. Have we heard about the replacement for Ms. Striker?

        Mrs. Banks shook her head. Not yet. If I don't hear soon, I shall contact them again.

        Shanti rubbed her temples.

       Would you like me to cancel lunch? Mrs. Banks said, looking at her tablet. 

        Frowning, Shanti said, Would you see if they would be willing to reschedule for tea at three instead?

       Of course, Mrs. Banks said and took the emptied breakfast tray. She punched a message into her tablet. A minute or so later, she smiled and said, Done. They will be here at three.

        Shanti snuggled into her covers and luxuriated in the indulgence of being in bed after breakfast. She almost never stayed in bed once she woke up. But the dull ache proved enough for her to be glad the gentlemen were kind enough to reschedule for tea.

        Mrs. Banks turned off the light as she left. And Shanti tried to relax into her bed and no obsess over the possible outcomes of this afternoon's tea. However, she could not seem to clear her mind, in spite of the persistent dull ache.
