    Daddy said goodbye last night. He left to go on a business trip to New York City this morning.

    Last night, I hugged him tight and didn’t want to let go. When Mom pulled me away I started to cry.

    She scolded me with a frown, Coral, you are almost twelve. Don’t you think you’re a little old to cry?

    Mom sighed.

    Daddy patted my head and gave me an extra hug before he sent me off to bed. Last year, Mom insisted they stop tucking me in because I needed some more independence. I just wanted Daddy to tuck me into bed before he left. And so I cried
