STYLE
The style adds many aspects to the reading of the book/comic.
One of the aspects is, it makes an impression and leaves one.
It has been written in a way that it makes you think you know the conclusion.
It is also full of expression? As she sits, she thinks. Mm.
INTRODUCTION
This is about a woman’s life and her experiences, the situations she finds herself in, and the outcome.
She smiled. She was proud of herself. Her outlook looked good. She walked home from work. She worked in an office.
Her hair was black, her skin was dark, and her eyes were brown.
Her dress sense wasn’t pretty; it was quite shabby.
Her skirts were flared, and her shirts had flyaway collar. The collar was narrow.
More of a style of the 1960s than the year 2000 and something.
She had a cheeky laugh and was quite popular.
She did her work very well—more than efficient, colleagues would say.
Then one day everything changed. It was still light outside.
She could see it was light as she looked out the window.
She felt a chill, but it wasn’t cold.
A sickly feeling came over her. She didn’t feel well; quite faint, she felt.
She sat down for a while on the chair that was closest to her.
A few of her colleagues were still in the office and asked her if she was feeling okay.
She replied, ‘I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll feel better soon and be okay. Don’t mind me.’
So they carried on with their work.
That day a tall man came into the office to fix the office equipment.
He said the computer systems were down and he needed to look at and maybe change the system.
And so he got on with his work. He was a very chatty man, very talkative; he asked a lot of personal questions.
