In today's time, never has time been greater for us to prepare for battle. Spiritual Warfare is a subject that is not emphasized nearly as much as it should in many churches throughout the world. We need to ensure that we are not fooled into believing that there isn't a spiritual war currently going on. The Devil is currently and actively engaged in anything he can to do in order to lull Christians to sleep and to wreak havoc in the lives of the lost. His unholy campaign of deception has the entire world fooled into believing that a life in Christ is one of comfort and prosperity - something that has never been declared throughout the Bible. We have controversy and sin in abundance in our world today and this is just the beginning of a much greater darkness about to unfold. It is hard to pick up a newspaper or watch the television and not see the people engaging in an "anything goes" mentality. The fields are white already to harvest and never has there been a time more pressing than now for people to step out on faith and to seek the lost. However, we cannot go out and do it on our own.

While all hope would from a physical perspective appear to have been lost, we have a hope that is the answer to the many problems that mankind faces each day. The Armor of God is given to us so we can live victoriously as a Christian in today's increasingly complex world.

C. Thomas Canterbury is the founder of Exile Ministries, an evangelical outreach to the unchurched and discouraged in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia. Today, there are many believers out there who live a life feeling weak or discouraged in the faith. C. Thomas Canterbury was born in Beckley, West Virginia. He graduated high school in 1993 and served for 22 years in the United States Navy. As a Hospital Corpsman, he served in a vast array of shipboard, sea duty, an combat deployment assignments. After retirement, he settled in the Salem, Virginia area. He has served in congregations in West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee. As founder of Exile Ministries, he has worked in the Salem/Roanoke area proclaiming the word of God in the valley.
