This is a collection of poetry written over the last 10 years. Thank you to Jehovah who has guided me through this life and kept me safe all these years. I have lived in California, through all my moving He has kept me safe. Also, thank you to my family and friends who have supported me and encouraged me. You are all awesome and I am glad to be a part of your lives.

In some cases,I used the name Jehovah , YHWH and Yahshua, instead of Lord and Jesus. This is how Jesus would have heard his name and known the Hebrew name of God. Although we are not certain on the pronunciation of YHWH, it is most likely either Yahweh or Jehovah.

My whole life is based upon my achievements. Everything I am is it more than test scores? My worth my importance, is more than these measures that man bases achievement upon. In my quest to be the best, I have fallen short. It seems as if I will never reach the glory that is so evasive. Like sand in my hand, once I grip, it falls out from underneath. So I keep reaching for the sand, and it falls out of my hand. I try in vain, but I can not attain the things I value so much. For they are as a passing of the wind. My goals, my dreams they slip away. They have been built upon the sand, and not upon the everlasting hand of heaven.

The Depths of Sin

Psalms 69:1-2

Save me, O God,

for the waters have come up to my neck.

I sink in the miry depths,

where there is no foothold.

I have come into the deep waters;

the floods engulf me.

My sin is as deep waters

In the beginning I wade

Believing that I am safe

Yet the tide comes in and the waves roll in

And before I know it I am caught up in my sin

I cannot swim, I sink to the bottom

A log, a boat, something that I might float

For the waters are deep and I am weak

So please don’t let me drown in the high seas

Lord, I need your help to stay afloat

I am chilled, and my clothes are soaked

And I cannot do this on my own

I have been lead astray

Into the water where I will drown

Where I cannot be found
