his prayer book is the result of the seeds that were planted in me by my grandmother, Rachel Grey (Deceased), and my mother, Gladys Bailey (Deceased).

It is also a testimony of years of pain and hurt that was only relieved through prayer and deliverance.

First, I want to thank God for this vision that he has rested upon my heart and the fact that he has given me the strength to write this manual. I love and honor you, Lord—you are awesome and worthy to be praised.

Next, I want to thank my children, Taffi and Jodel, who has been my rock when I had no one else to turn to. Kiddos, you have brought much love and promise to my life, challenging me to always be the best version of who God has created me to be.

I also want to thank Leila Shearer, my friend, in Jamaica. Leila, you poured into me when I was lost and alone, and when I needed someone to care for me, you showed me what caring was. Thank you for all of your help.

I want to give special thanks to pastor Moses Omoviye of Miracle worship center in London. Although you are far away, I always hold dearly to the times of prayer and revival services you have done at Christian Life Center. It was during those services that my faith soared, and I came to love the Lord the way I currently do. I am very grateful to all my friends and colleagues, especially the members of the prayer group on Facebook, We pray for each other. You may find some of your prayers in this prayer book (smile). I love and appreciate you all. Thanks for your contribution to the group.

he world in which we live is as diverse as it is complex. Societies are more multifarious than ever, as can be evidenced in areas such as races, religions, and cultures. Science and technology are changing at such a fast pace that keeping abreast often proves to be a daunting task.

A noticeable challenge of various governments is how to effectively cause the optimal functioning of the different sub-groups in a given society. Yes, this is also the information age, and with the click of a mouse, one can learn about almost anything.

A consequential term of this age is ‘misinformation.’ This is a world in which the sense of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ can change almost daily, depending on one’s religious, political, financial, or philosophical desire. Terms such as conflict, stress, poverty, injustice, dishonesty, and unwholesome compromises seem to take on far more significance than in past times. This is why the emphasis of this book by our dear Sister, Joan E Williams, is a timely and relevant one. We need to pray. The sonnet below captures some of the reasons for prayer.

    LET US PRAY

By Rev. Dr. F. Antonio Ph.D.

Let us pray because men should always pray and not faint.

Let us pray because prayer changes things.

Let us pray because the prayer-line is always open.

Let us pray because Satan trembles when even the weakest of saints fall to the knees.

Let us pray because we have explicit permission to use the name of Jesus Christ to our Heavenly Father.

We can bind or loose things in Heaven and on earth.

We can speak of things not visible, and watch them become manifested in the natural realm.

Chains can be broken, yokes destroyed, and burdens lifted.

    There is power in prayer!

    There is salvation in prayer!

    There is deliverance in prayer.

    God answers prayer!

    Let us pray!

The writer of this book, like so many of us, has had her own share of difficulties. She knows what it is to lock oneself away in a prayer closet and pray. She has seen God come through on multiple occasions, and I am fully confident in her prayers for us to tap even further into this divine communication line. We should seek to pray daily, so as to always be victorious against the various schemes of the enemy. This book on prayer will motivate you to do just that: pray. This is a great tool to place into the hands of a loved one or, better yet, a stranger.

The author has been an influential member and supporter of the Citadel Inc. As the president and lead pastor of this body, I can assure our Sister Joan that the blessings of this organization are with her. I am very excited for Sister Williams and will do more than just wish her success in this venture. I hereby ask you to support her in every way that you can. Procure more than one copy of this book, if possible. Tell others about it via social media or in your various face-to-face encounters. The most powerful thing that you can do, however, is pray.

    LET US PRAY (The Prayer)

Father in Heaven, I thank you for your awesome power, your majesty, your glory, and your grace. I thank you for the gift of real life given through Jesus, who is the Christ. I worship you because you are all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present everywhere. I know that when your children pray, you dispatch ministering angels to do business on our behalf.

Father, I know that I can approach you boldly. I can speak to forces seen and unseen and command them to fall in line with the power and purpose of your Kingdom. I can declare all things with confidence because greater is He (Jesus the Christ) that is in me than he that is in the world.

So, at this very moment, I speak to the forces that would seek to set themselves up against your people. I speak to poverty, lack, confusion, and violence. I command them to bow at the dictates of your sons and daughters. I take authority over warped thoughts that follow the twisted philosophies of men rather than Christ. Right now, I take authority over sicknesses and diseases. Yes, Jehovah, my God, open those blind eyes! Deaf ears: be unclogged in Jesus’ name! You who have been crippled for so long, get up and walk in the name of Yeshua!

You malady of cancer, I command you to leave that woman’s body right now!

Prostate cancer: stop afflicting the brother, the father, the son!

I plead the blood of Jesus over every malfunctioning cell in my body, and I command each one to be repaired or replaced to normalcy.

Spirit of jealousy and division, I command you to go! You lying spirit, be gone!
