Jeaneal Byrd

Dr. Jeaneal (Rush) Byrd is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She is the wife of the Rev. Dr. Anthony L. Byrd, Sr., they celebrate over 34 years of marriage. They are the blessed parents of five sons and a niece whom they helped raise and claim as a daughter, all of whom are gifted and blessed by the Lord. Three of their five sons are also in the ministry; one of them being a pastor as well.Dr. Byrd serves alongside her husband as Co-pastor of the First Baptist Church in Elwood, Kansas, where she accepted her call to minister The Gospel in 1996. She also oversees the youth and music ministries of First Baptist. She is a spiritual mother to men and women both locally, and across this nation. She is the founder of “Grace 4’ Me Ministries” through which she has been a blessing to many homeless and battered women; ministered the Gospel over the airwaves of Kansas City’s KGGN gospel radio for over five years; appeared on TBN as a recurring guest, hosted alongside her husband for the “Praise the Lord” broadcast, and participated as a volunteer for their Prayer Ministry department.Dr. Byrd currently produces and hosts her television broadcast ministry “Grace 4 Me” which airs in Northeast Kansas and can be seen on her website as well. It consists of interviews and solutions regarding various addictions and issues of life; she is also currently working on the next book the Lord has given her to write. II Corinthians 5:17


Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

The day we gave our lives to God we became new creatures through Jesus Christ our Lord! Our lives began to change; in other words the old became our past and we now embrace our new life we have in Jesus Christ by grace! (II Corinthians 5:17)

But there is a problem; we must let go of the guilt of our past sins, and embrace the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not saved by our works but by what Jesus did at Calvary…(Ephesians 2:8-10)

You see, in order to embrace the new; we must receive the new. How? By accepting and receiving what Jesus did at Calvary. For when we were yet sinners Jesus Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

By walking after the Spirit and not after the flesh. (Galatians 5:25) Crucify your flesh daily and presenting your body a living sacrifice unto the Lord Jesus Christ, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1,2)

We once walked and yielded our bodies to the flesh and to the devil, but now we yield our bodies holy unto the Lord. We do this by simply denying the flesh and it’s desire. Making our will God’s Will. (Galatians 5:16,17)

Flesh or Spirit. Choose! It’s your decision, but you cannot have it both ways. For they war against one another, so choose! (Galatians 5:19-24) Give the Lord Jesus Christ your whole heart by obedience, and submission thru prayer and supplication in the Holy Ghost.

Father, forgive us for walking after lawlessness to fulfill the flesh. Deliver us from walking after the flesh, and thank you that now we walk in the Spirit and we have a new start in you. Thank you Lord Jesus in your name we pray, Amen.

The War Within

Romans 7:18-25


For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Spiritual versus Physical! It is a constant daily battle to keep it holy, and to walk in obedience unto the Lord. Jesus said take My yoke upon you and learn of Me for My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11:29,30) This simply means to take the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ and apply it to your life, allowing it to comfort, guide and instruct you daily.
