That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure.When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri.The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Prologue

The world of the supernatural exists all around us, but we don’t see it. Even if we catch a glimpse of it, we refuse to admit that’s what we saw. But not all humans are allowed to go about their mundane existence in complete ignorance.

My family was just minding their own business when a werewolf bit one of us, changing her life and ours, forever. A bite won’t always do that but this time it changed their world too, my cousin Ariel changed into a snow white wolf. White wolves were a powerful bloodline believed to be extinct, but now that we’ve been found, we are pursued relentlessly.

Many of us snubbed the wolves, as they preferred to be called. I was one of those who chose to stick with my own kind. My name is Sue Ellen, and this is the story of Suki and Roger. Suki didn’t want to change to a wolf, so she left her love behind. Roger had plans and they didn’t include being abandoned. We’ll see who actually gets their way.

This story takes place after three wolves reconnect with their fated ones. Now it’s Roger’s turn to try to win back Suki and he will do anything to get her back. The whole thing began months ago.

Six men sat around the table making plans that would either change their life for the better or send them further into the pit of lovesick despair. All six of the men were werewolves that had found their perfect match, their fated mates, but they’d been rejected. Erotic Fantasies, the dating business they founded, was all about them getting one more shot at the female they wanted.

All six ladies were white wolves, a powerful werewolf bloodline that had mixed in with humans and almost been lost. They had reasons to be leery of wolves, but not all wolves were objectionable. The males knew that if they got the chance, their mates would fall into their arms one by one.

Lucas had gone first and now was mated. Paul went next and he was nervous, but he knew it would work out right and it did. Ven also had his night and managed to claim his mate.

Now it was Roger’s turn and the thought of possibly losing his mate terrified him. Still, he knew that this might be his only chance. He must do everything right so Suki will be his.

Chapter 1

Proceed With Caution

Suki‘s breath caught in her throat as she heard heavy footsteps in the hall. She’d arrived early, nervous as hell and maybe even a little scared. This wasn’t something she had ever done, and it showed. Sweat had formed on her brow, her heart rate was elevated, and she was breathing heavy. In other words, she was a hot mess.

Yesterday had been exhausting, she had worked hard and should have gotten help but this, waiting all alone, was harder still.

Her mind went to Roger as she waited. Could she really sleep with another man when her mind was on him? They’d only gone out on two dates, but they’d hit it off. A kiss was all the intimacy they had shared and her feelings for him had been surprisingly strong.

The footsteps continued down the hall. Was she relieved or disappointed? A little of both because she wanted to put this off, but she also wanted to get it over with. Who said her feelings had to make sense? This was her attempt to move on and let the past go. The problem was her feelings for Roger had continued to grow even after she’d stopped seeing him. It didn’t make much sense, but if he hadn’t been a wolf, she was sure she would have married him. Now she was spending her time trying to get over him. Wasn’t that a laugh riot? She was working herself half to death at her work and still managed to find time to dream about a wolf shifter who she had rejected.

The male was handsome, smart and successful and she felt stupid to fault him for the wolf that lived under his skin, a side of him she had never seen. It had been fear, she knew it, but now it was too late to undo it. She had jumped in with some of her cousins and they had decided wolves were not for them. Now she was weakening and reconsidering her views, but Roger was gone.

Not only had she lost a perfect boyfriend, but he’d been a good customer. He came in nearly every day when he’d been trying to change her mind. The guy had bought dozens of donuts and even bunches of the hot dog rolls she sold. They talked and she had liked him better with each passing day.

Suddenly he’d stopped coming around. No more sexy smiles and good mornings for her. He’d stopped cold turkey and she thought she was having withdrawal. Women didn’t have withdrawal like that, did they? Maybe they did because she couldn’t explain the way she felt any other way.
