About this ebook

"The only poet in the world today who is as important as they think they"- Lord Bogtown

Satires, broadsides, translations and songs, from the ill-esteemed Lord Bogtown- encompassing such earthly delights as the death of Donald Trump, Prince Phillip's retirement, cynical meditations on humanity and unrestrained praise for our simian cousins.

        His face was Red

        His teeth were White

But now those lips are Blue

        That once Starred twitter's pride

        And Putin's choice

        And Spangled truth

                 -  Requiem for a Trump

Songs to Heaven's Glory - Lord Bogtown

    Prelude

    (Bogtown)

    There isn’t much in Bogtown,

    just three houses

    a dilapidated church

    and a sign

    that says

    Bogtown

    on it.

    ––––––––

    ––––––––

There is a bog in Bogtown

it’s just the town that never came,

and if your wondering why that is

the clue is in the name.

    ––––––––

    ––––––––

You can’t build much on boggy ground

    they really should have known

and instead they built a village

    5 miles up the road

    ––––––––

    ––––––––

But they kept it named as Bogtown

    though there’s some

    who think it should

be renamed to plain old bog-

but it doesn’t sound as good.

    ––––––––

    ––––––––

You might say Bogtown never happened

you might say bogtown never was

but it really could have been a town

if it wasn’t for the bog.

    Requiem for a Trump

    ––––––––

    Those famous hands,

that once, like mauling paws did grope,

    upwards, for liberty

    through her blue-green skirts

    are dead now.

    ––––––––

    ––––––––

    His face was RED

    his teeth were WHITE

but now those lips are BLUE

    that once
