About this ebook

Beautiful agency creative director and sexual vixen, Stephanie Spicer, returns and is on the rebound from a former lover. While trying to find a way to bed her handsome American client, she must also deliver on an important new sponsorship for his global company. But will her professional skills be knocked out of court, or can she still provide a service that will please all?

When Stephanie ditches her previous boyfriend, Geoff, she feels free to find a new love. But her handsome client, Rick, is away, and Stephanie is forced to resolve issues in her roller-coaster sexual life elsewhere. After a steamy boardroom encounter with Mark, a PR director who is handling the communications for her client’s high-profile tennis sponsorship, she is brought into conflict with her new charge—a young American tennis starlet, Kelly. But is it Kelly, or her photographer Zoe, who is her secret admirer?

When a shapely new PR contact, Alex, takes her on more than just a shopping trip for a glamorous evening dress and teaches her about blindfold sex, Stephanie finally sees the way to get off the sidelines and take the center court again.

Will Stephanie’s unbridled passion for her many lovers catch her in a tangled net or can she still serve up a perfect tennis sponsorship and deliver the winning ace? This is a game that will need to be played by mixed doubles.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?

The speaker tried to quiet the roomful of people who were busily talking amongst themselves.

As conversations continued, he raised his voice to deliver a second announcement.

Could we have some quiet please?

Standing up behind a long table on a low stage at one end of the packed room, he looked anxious that those attending his press conference were just not listening. The room was not overly large, and the low roof only amplified peoples’ chattering.

He looked smart in a charcoal grey suit and open-necked check shirt, as he stood in front of a backdrop of well-branded promotional signage. Everything suggested this was a press conference of importance.

For his third attempt, he lifted the microphone from the table, cleared his throat and spoke in a resonant voice.

If everyone is ready, can we now begin?

Gradually, the buzz of multiple conversations died, and he sat down at the center of the table to speak to the assembled crowd using the same microphone, now positioned in front of him.

Well, good morning, everyone. I’m delighted that our many friends in the sporting and national press have turned out this morning for what will, I’m sure, be an interesting event.

The man, who then introduced himself as Mark Devlin, the Communications Director at Sportslife PR, leant forward again to speak into the microphone. He looked calm and more relaxed after the earlier false-starts. It was evident to even the most casual observer in the audience that this was where a man in his position was in his element. A youthful-looking thirty-something with short brown hair and a tightly-cropped beard and moustache, he appeared to revel in being the center of attention.

Sportslife PR is delighted to be working with Sports Gear Worldwide and Conway Creative on a major new tennis sponsorship project globally, but today is really all about one person — one of the rising stars in Women’s Tennis Association rankings, and the new face and brand ambassador for Sport Gear Worldwide — Kelly Finch. It’s therefore my great pleasure and privilege to introduce you to Kelly, who will be talking to you about this new sponsorship and answering press questions today.

From behind the white backdrop which was luridly festooned with the company’s logo, stepped a confident young woman radiating a brilliant toothpaste-white smile and swinging her ponytail behind her as she walked to her seat. At just twenty-two years old, Kelly was on a meteoric rise in American women’s tennis, and clearly destined for stardom. Dressed in suitably branded but otherwise all-white casual clothing, she sat in the center of the table, next to Mark. Though he didn’t say much, bookending her on the other side was Sports Gear’s corporate planning manager, Dean Wright, according to the name card next to his glass of water.

In the assembled audience, Stephanie Spicer, creative director at London branding agency, Conway Creative, whispered to Adam Lancaster, her project manager. I know this is a big deal for Sports Gear and us, but I just hope the PR agency doesn’t make this too much of a circus.

They always do, replied Adam, his stern eyes still fixed on the stage. But she’s young, cute and very photogenic, so the sports photographers will certainly have some eye candy for their pages tomorrow.

Stephanie liked Adam Lancaster. A hugely experienced project manager, he’d helped work with the US-based organisation to put this deal together, and now everyone was going to benefit from the publicity. Even though she’d hired him, Stephanie had certainly held a few reservations about Adam initially.
