Trixxi Powers is every guy’s dream musician: blonde, sexy, and amazing on the keyboard. I’m going to kill that sound engineer. Christ! Three nights into the tour, and he still hasn’t got the levels right.

Melanie Masters had just walked off stage to the thunderous applause of a delirious audience, but the tone of her voice and the look in her eyes told the other band members that she was less than happy. She might very well carry out her threat if they weren’t careful. The twenty-five year old bass player and lead vocalist with FunkTime was not given to putting up with less than one hundred percent perfection at her gigs. She was tall, black, and still sweating profusely from one of the hottest and hardest gigs the band had ever played.

I’ll talk to him, Mel, offered Trixxi as she walked behind her. Maybe I can find out what the problem has been and get him to sort things out on the mixing desk.

By doing what? Fucking him senseless? That’s the only thing he seems to think a tour is about. Mel’s eyes were blazing, and the thunderous look on her otherwise attractive face indicated that she wasn’t joking.

Calm down, Mel. I like Robbie, but I’m not desperate, okay?

Just get it sorted by the next gig, or he’ll get the imprint of my bass on his head. And Fender Precision basses are not known for being lightweight.

As she stormed off towards her dressing room, Trixxi sighed and whispered under her breath, Sure. Your wish is my command.
