Game for a laugh

Last May, in an episode of the genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are?, Sue Perkins reflected on the way her life had been about “propulsion and going forward”. Learning about her ancestors had made her want to stop and ease up on her famous work ethic. What actually happened is that she completed two road-trip documentary series, debuted Hitmen, a TV comedy series with her lifelong collaborator Mel Giedroyc, and appeared on The Masked Singer. Oh, and she ducked into New Zealand to record a series as host of the trans-Tasman comedy quiz Patriot Brains. So how’s that chilling-out thing going?
