About this ebook

Lexi Gifford is the editor-in-chief of a popular women’s magazine named Innocent. Lexi needs a new assistant and a new lover, and she finds both in Theodore Logan—a rather naïve and virginal farm boy from Iowa.

At first, Lexi is hesitant about getting involved with Theodore—who goes by Theo—because of a bad previous relationship. There’s also the age difference, because Lexi is thirty-two and Theo is eighteen.

However, any hesitation on her part flies out the window when he winds up modeling for an upcoming issue of Innocent, when a model doesn’t show for the shoot. Unable to resist seeing his hunky farm boy frame clad only in a pair of form-fitting bikini bottoms, she ravishes Theo.

Their relationship blossoms both in and out of the bedroom, and eventually Lexi realizes that her passion for Theo goes beyond the merely sexual and that she has genuine feelings for him.

    Chapter One

Lexi Gifford needed two things—a new assistant and to get laid. However, as chaotic as her life currently was, she had a sneaking suspicion that she’d have a much better chance of achieving the former, than the latter. Her previous assistant, a snotty eighteen-year-old named Melissa, was more interested in texting and checking her status on Facebook, rather than even pretending to do her damned job. And the last thing she needed was more of the same from another assistant.

Lexi was the editor-in-chief of a new women’s magazine called Innocent. One critic called the magazine a female version of Maxim, and that was one of the kinder critiques. Unlike other women’s magazines, Innocent catered to a different type of female readership. The kind who couldn’t afford the type of clothes normally displayed in other upscale women’s publications, and the type who didn’t mind doing something for their man every once in a while, and vice versa.

Along with the articles, which were described by one critic as Dumbed down drivel, were beefcake shots of hunky male models, which didn’t lesson the criticisms aimed toward the publication. However, the magazine was selling quite well. This in spite of the criticisms and the overall downturn in magazine sales due largely to free Internet content. In fact, it was selling more than some of the more upscale magazines it was in direct competition with. And that, in the end, was all Lexi cared about.

Lexi dreaded interviewing for a new assistant. She had better things to do than to sit all day, listening to a bunch of self-absorbed girls in their late-teens and early-twenties, who thought the job consisted mainly of hanging around hunky, half-naked models all day. And she wasn’t too
