Introduction

I remember it like it was yesterday; I was looking up at the stars on a beautiful Thanksgiving evening in 2008. I had just been handed divorce papers and there was a moment I felt like I could fly. I took a breath looked at the sky and whispered, I’m Free. It was a momentary wave of relief. I was amazed at how light I felt and then…the sadness overwhelmed me. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I wanted the lightness back, but all I could feel was sadness. At that moment my mom put her arms around me and said, it's going to be okay.

What is it about those five words that make you feel better? Even though I knew I was about to go through one of the most difficult times of my life; there something so soothing about someone telling you it's going to be okay. I want to pass that on to you, because it really is going to be okay.

If you are holding this book then you just may be what I like to call, a woman on the cusp. You’ve been through a lot; maybe even hell, and you are standing at the threshold of your new life. On the cusp…at the point in time, that marks the beginning of something, or on the threshold of a development or action.

You know with certainty that you cannot go back to the way things use to be; however, stepping forward into your future is uncertain and makes you feel shaky and a bit queasy, like you just stepped off a cruise ship that has been through a tropical storm. Maybe you have just weathered your own storm and you are ready for your new life. Can you do it? Can you create the life you truly want and really do deserve? I learned how to overcome the doubt, fear, and the negative voice in my head so that I could create the most amazing wonderful life for myself. The day it all made sense was the day I finally realized I was worth it. I know you are capable and deserving of the same thing and I want to help you get there. If you can relate to any of this and I've struck a chord within you then keep reading because magic awaits you. You simply must be willing to try some new things with an open mind and open heart.

Remember that your path brought you here to this moment. It has been full of difficulties and probably was quite arduous, so keep in mind that your return to love will take time. Be patient, do the work, show up everyday and make even one small step and I promise you will begin to feel different. You will feel better. Filled with hope, happiness, and yes Love!
