About this ebook

"Things People Don’t Want to Talk About" is an eye-opener regarding things that may be hidden in the church that definitely needs to be addressed from the pulpit. The bible says in Hosea 4:6 says,
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
When we become knowledgeable of unscrupulous and derogatory situations that may be happening at the place of our worship, and the leaders whom you entrust your souls to, it is our responsibility to seek guidance directly from the Lord.
In doing so, it deepens our relationship with Him, strengthens our faith, and enables us to fulfill God’s calling for our lives. After all, the bible does says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Remember, these are perilous times, if you don’t believe me just read II Timothy Chapter 3:1-17.
This book shares real life experiences of those who were once members of various ministries and the reasons why some have fallen away and became disillusioned with the church.
Who knows, maybe you can identify with some of the experiences of those written about in this book.

    CHAPTER 1

Using Love Spells in the Church

St. Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold

From the church house to the clubhouse, many are choosing to do their own thing. When the Holy Spirit is not present in the church house to convict us of things contrary to God's will, we think nothing of going to a conjurer's house to get a love potion.

A conjurer is someone who practices magic, alleging to control natural events, effects or forces by invoking supernatural powers, using charms and spells to invoke such aids. They claim to influence and/or predict events, and supposedly can call on spirits to do their bidding.

There are those who want to help God. Instead of waiting on the Lord, believing He will answer, they consult those who deal in the occult to make it happen. They desire a husband or wife and think by conjuring a love spell they will get what they want.

What they don't realize is, they may be calling on forces they won't be able to control. Many, unfortunately have been victims without their knowledge.

Studying religion and mystical studies in college was an eye opener for me. There are things the professor shared that would make your hair stand up on your head.

I learned about artifacts and relics that were used for curses and blessings. I saw live footage of ceremonies where they called on supernatural entities that manifested. His topics included studies on European, and African folklore, legends and beliefs.

Also the Asian, Judaism, Spanish and Native American beliefs, folklore, legends, superstitions, customs and tribal beliefs from around the world. It was quite an insight on how others worshiped, what they believed and their practices.

There are lots more things in this world you can't see and hope you never do. You would have to see them with your own eyes to believe. Many have lost their minds involving themselves with the occult.

Hidden knowledge is what the occult is. Their secrets are handed down throughout generations, which have given those who possess such knowledge the ability to influence the spiritual realm.

Many don't realize the danger in conjuring up spirits to do their bidding. Once done, you cannot call those spirits back. They have been summoned into action and won't stop until they complete what their assignment is.

Exodus 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Verse 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him

The Lord had given Moses the Ten Commandments, His laws and ordinances. He told the children of Israel He was sending His Angel before them. He was very specific about what they were to do, and to obey His voice.

He also told them what the angel's assignment was. To bring them to the place the Lord wanted them to be. They were not to provoke Him for He would not excuse their transgressions. There would be consequences for their disobedience and blessings for their obedience.

Verse 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries

This was the Angel working on assignment for the Lord. With the Lord being an enemy to your enemy and an adversary to those who oppose you, there's no better promise to those He love.

What do you think the consequences are for you? To call on spirits to do your bidding, against those whom God love?

If the person you're trying to make, want, or love you is covered with the blood of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit, they're protected against the onslaught of those demons. The Lord will rise up against you in their defense.

Those spirits you summoned will become angry and turn on you. They were not able to finish their purpose for coming. They will cause you mental, emotional and physical grief.

The Lord has given us free will. We have many choices but one decision. To manipulate a persons will for your own gain is totally against the will of God.

There are those who come to church, lifting hands in praise and worship to God, yet have a gris gris bag or love charm on their person.

A gris gris is a small bag empowered with a combination of powders, herbs, roots, bones, graveyard dust and sacred words pronounced (gree, gree). Different ingredients are used, depending on what the purpose of the wearer is: protection, love, money, luck, etc.

Not just women, but men are guilty of this too. They have no conscious awareness of it being out of the will of God. They're so desperate to have that man or woman, they throw caution to the wind.

I was at a service one evening while they were having praise and worship. This one lady started singing the song Can't Nobody Do Me Like Jesus. As she really got into her praising, she started dancing and shouting up near the front of the church.

As she was jumping and stomping, her wig fell off her head. She was so caught up in her praising, she didn't realize a red flannel bag had fallen on the floor that had been hidden under her wig.

To those sitting close to the front, they all looked down at it and at each other totally perplexed. Some even laughed, thinking it was funny.

As she continued to dance around, she had a loose fitting white dress on with a red slash around her waist. Something fell out from under her dress that had obviously been tied around her waist and fell loose.

It was a rope of some sort tied in knots with a larger flannel bag tied at one of the ends. The tied end came loose and its contents fell out.

There were two black stones that rolled out, a red and a white religious icon that looked like a chicken foot, a root of some sort and a tip of what looked like a black feather.

As I looked up at her, I noticed she also had red and white beads with cowry shells around her wrist and a similar necklace on.

It appeared she was a devotee of the African deity, Chango. In the Catholic faith, the name of that deity is St. Barbara. It has been known that the African deities are hidden in the Catholic saints.

When they were brought over on the slave ships, they were not allowed to serve or worship their own gods. To the European slave masters, their African gods were savages, they were forbidden to worship them. If they were to worship, they had to be baptized as Catholic and reverence their saints.

In order to worship, undetected, they used the Catholic icons but paid allegiance to Chango, or whoever their loa was, substituting the Catholic names for their own god's names.

Loa are spirits of Haitian Vodou and Louisiana Voodoo. They are not prayed to, they are served and have distinct personal likes and dislikes. They are considered Intermediaries.

Many still give homage to their African deities or ancestors and have shrines and altars in their homes. They reverence them with statues of saints, African gods, rum, fruits, tobacco, candies, money, etc. as offerings for their presence in their homes and favors they give.

Getting back to the lady who had all her paraphernalia on. Some who saw this were puzzled and some were shocked.

When the pastor looked, he did a double take. He beckoned for one of the ushers. When the usher leaned over to hear what he was telling him, he looked over at the woman and back at the Pastor. Shaking his head as if refusing whatever he was telling him.

The usher went over to one of the deacons and whispered something. By that time, my head was moving back and forth, looking to see what they would do. I really couldn't get off into the praising.

This totally distracted me. I had never seen anything like this in a church setting. I wondered what the pastor told the usher and what the usher was telling the deacon.

Let's face it, I was nosy too, and wanted to see what was going to happen. Many others were still up praising God, oblivious to what was going on. The music continued to play.

The drummer looked at the organ player who leaned over and looked, almost falling off the organ bench. The piano player looked up at him wondering I guess what was going on.

The organ player started grinning and pointed to the lady (who I found out to be one of the mothers of the church) and kept pointing down, trying to get the piano player to see what was on the floor.

Once he looked at the lady or should I say mother, he looked down and saw what was on the floor. He stood up, looked, missed a couple of bars on the piano, shook his head while sitting back down laughing and shaking his head.

While they, the organ and drummer were having a good time of it, watching the mother do her thing, the usher and deacon proceeded to go to the lady.

She was still singing, pointing at the congregation as she sung, Noboooody, I said Nobooody, jumping and shouting as they delicately eased her over to her seat and sat her down.

When she became aware that she was being seated, she felt for her wig, realized it was not on her head, than patted the side of her waist.

As she looked around in what looked like uh oh, what happened to my stuff, the usher and deacon both pointed on the floor where her wig, rope, flannel bags with all of her stuff in them were scattered on the floor.

She rushed over where her things had fallen, stooping down to picked them up and slapped the wig back on her head backwards. Some were laughing and pointing at what she was doing.

The music had not stopped during all this time and others were still up clapping and praising God, the pastor too.

When she collected her things, she continued sitting in her seat, waving her hands, and hollered out, The Lord is good, oh, yes He is, ain't nobody gonna do me like Jesus, hallelujah, praise God. Bless his name folks, bless his name, uba, uba, uba, bababababa, (whatever language that was) as though nothing had happened.

I thought the Pastor would have said something, knowing some of us had seen this.

My curiosity was heightened as I took a good look around the church, looking for any other evidence that may be going on with the members.

Many thoughts and questions were going through my mind after seeing this. One of the women who invited me said she was totally taken aback by this also.

She told me the lady was one of the mothers of the church, has a lot of influence with the pastor, (I was thinking, I bet she does), and have been one of the founding members. She was quite vocal and actively involved with everything that went on in the church.

People listened to what she had to say and didn't challenge her opinions on how things should be done.

I asked the one telling me this, how long had she been a member? She said she had been there for over ten years and she heard that this particular mother of the church dibbled and dabbled in that stuff. But she thought it was a rumor.

The mother had told some who were close to her, that she was born with a caul over her eyes and could see spirits. I wondered how could anyone be up praising and dancing for the Lord, and not know her wig had fallen off? Why hadn't the spirits let her know her wig was on backwards and her secrets had been revealed?

No one really knows what's going on in another person's life. That was an eye opener for me. I don't know whether the pastor spoke with her after the service, or maybe he already knew.

Who knows, maybe he was dibbling and dabbling too.

He didn't say anything when he came back up to his pulpit. He started singing throw out the life line, someone is sinking today. Was that a message to her or him? Believe me that was the first and last time I visited that church.

Unfortunately, when the Bible says, the love of many shall wax cold, and that happens, anything and everything can go on in a church setting.

We want to believe everyone there loves the Lord and wants to do His will. And they probably do. However it seems as though they love what they do behind the scenes more. Their need seemingly is to appeal to another force for results.

Titus 3:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work, reprobate.

When a mind is reprobate, it hardens a person. They're aware of what they do, but think it's perfectly all right with the Lord. They don't care about consequences. They believe it's perfectly all right to put their trust in another spirit, while giving praise to God.

There was someone who told me about an experience he had with a woman in the church. They both attended the same church and she was actively involved with its activities.

Each time he saw her at church, he would always smile and say hello. Not only to her but other women as well. He was single and believed in the Lord. One particular service, there was a minister who spoke the name it and claim it kind of faith.

After the service, this lady came up to him and stated, You're gonna be my husband, I claim you in the name of Jesus and there's nothing you can do about it.

He was shocked she would be so bold and brazen to say something like that.

    After listening to the
