T he Bishop Amaechi Nwachukwu is very gifted in telling his own story in an African way. He not only makes you listen to his story but also makes you tell yours in your own way. Only gifted and talented people can make you do that. Our brother has written an enriching and a profound book that will become a future spiritual classic. The book is deep spiritually, enriched by African prose and wit. It is profoundly written from a sound knowledge of the Holy Scriptures and theology and seasoned by many years of pastoral experience.
As I read this very interesting, captivating, and intriguing book, I found out that the cup was not only found in the possession of the author; but the author himself drunk the cup. The author narrates not only how he sees, challenges, and engages in spiritual battle and warfare but draws the reader into the same. This is not an invitation for being a good spectator to just stand and watch but to get yourself involved and fight the spiritual battles of your own very life. The primary objective of the book is for you to personally answer the question of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Can you drink the cup I am going to drink
if the cup is found in your possession? (Matt. 20:22).
The Bishop Amaechi Nwachukwu is a very dear friend whom I have had the privilege of knowing for almost thirty years. I can see and feel him in every weighty word and thought in this book. My dear brother Amaechi, I salute your frankness, honesty, and sincerity. Indeed, you have written a book for your dear friend. As I see you in this book, you have also made me to see myself. Accept my profound gratitude and thanks.
I commend this book to all Christians and especially Christian leaders and ministers. Take it and read it prayerfully. You cannot finish reading this book without being challenged to go down on your knees before the Lord.
