    Soul Meet - Willie Fields

Marriage  is  honorable  in  all, and  the  bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

    Hebrews 13:4

    SOUL MEET

    Dedicated

To my beautiful  wife Teresa, family, and friends, It is  my  desired  hope  that  you  do not give up on seeking  your soul meet because  God  is  intricately involved in  the  affairs  of  humanity  and especially marriage,  church,  family, and  relationships. Keep the faith but keep hope alive as well.

    MISUNDERSTANDING

We  live  in  a world today where  the  institution  of  marriage seem  to  be  threaten  by  the antiquate thought that  marriage is no  longer a viable spiritual institution but on the contrary, the institution is well and  thriving  in  spite  of  the  number  of  divorces  mentioned  by  the  media  and  other  reporting  sources.  For so many individuals in our society the  misunderstanding  of  marriage has  to  do with their own concepts and  perceptions of the institution and  for  many  of  the  new  generation,  many  view  marriage  as  an  option  not  a  priority.  Surely they have not yet  grown to a  place of  spiritual wisdom, understanding  and  maturity  however,  many perceptions  of  marriage remains lending it self to a negative response  but  the  institution of marriage is here to stay.  Considering  the  first  originator  and  orchestrator  of  marriage,  we  must  understand that  it  was  established  for  the  benefit  of  God’s divine  plan  and purpose.  Today  it  is  not  looked upon as a sacred  and divine  institution but  nothing  more  than  a  fragmented  lifestyle, broken  without any  meaningful  significance.  This  institution  has  not  changed regardless,  how  it  receive  tarnishing  views  by  some,  others  are  committed  to  its fundamental divine  principles  and  see themselves

committed for  the long  term rewards  that marriage gives  through  the  divine  obedience  to  God.  Its  my  constructive  view  that  marriage  is  a  solid  and  sound  institution  however, the knowledge and understanding of the two individual engaging in this divine  institution  must  have  the  spiritual  knowledge  and  understanding  of  God  before  they  enter  into  it  otherwise, your  marriage will  suffer  drastically.  Persons  entering  into  this institution  must  know  that marriage is a covenant and  it  was  divinely  established  by  God.  The problem  with  marriage  lies  not  within  the structural principles of  the institution  but  with the individuals  who  engage  in  it, entering  into a marriage with your  own understanding of what you think it is  rather than what it  is  can be fatal to both parties.  No  matter  what  our  thinking  is  about  marriage, if  we  really  wanted  to  get  it right than we would  consult  with  the  originator because it is  far  more  complicated  than  we  think.  When you consider two individuals  being  united  as  one  can  pose  some  unique  challenges for  you if you have no spiritual understanding of marriage.

"And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh  of  my  flesh:  she  shall  be  called  Woman,

    2

because  she was  taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave  his  father  and  his  mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they  shall  be  one flesh."  Genesis 2:23-24

Marriage is  very  important  to  God, so  much  so  that  it  was  one  of  the  first  institution He established  for  humanity  and  patterned  it  to  illustrate  Christ’s  love  for  the  Church,  though misunderstanding of marriage might vary in  culture it  does  not  diminish  the  significance  of  the institution.  One  misunderstanding  of  marriage that  once  permeated  the  female  population and probably still do to  this day, is  that  many thought they had  to  go  looking  for  a  husband  which is a huge misunderstanding.  If we  look at  this  from  a  spiritual perspective  we will  see how intricate God is involved with His creation.

And the Lord God said, It is  not good that man should be alone; I will make him a  help meet for him.  Genesis 2:18And the rib, which the Lord God had  taken  from man, made he woman, and brought her unto the man.  Genesis 2:22

Women you do not have to go out  looking for  a  man, God will  bring  you  into  the  presence of  the  man  He  has  already  predestinated  for  you.  This

    3

misunderstanding  has  caused  many  women to spin  their  wheels  in  the  wrong  directions and left  many  hurt  and  bitter  through  the negative experience  they  suffered  and yet  today  many  are  out  there  looking  to  no  avail.  If  we  desire  a  spouse,  first  we  should  consult  God  and  allow Him  to  direct  us after all He  created  us therefore, He know  us  inside out.  Some of us think we know more  than  God  and  we  refuse  to  heed  His  instructions  and  choose  for  ourselves, misunderstanding the entire process  and fall  into  a  darkness  too  incomprehensive  to  digest and for some of  us  we  repeat it  over and  over again  but  desiring  the  best  God  has  for  you demand you to consult Him and not yourself.

Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice. For rebellion  is  as  the  sin  of  witchcraft,  and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.  1Samuel 15:22-23
