PROCRASTINATION - Felicity Friedman
Introduction
Making decisions is part of our everyday life. Sometimes the matter in question is something that is life-changing; sometimes it can be as mundane as what should you be wearing, but regardless of the gravity of the decision you have to make, we cannot move forward in life if we refuse to decide. Like the quote we often hear, indecision is a decision.
Allow this book to aid you in becoming the decisive person that you desire to be and at last overcome the indecisiveness that is crippling you, and preventing you from experiencing a fulfilling life.
After all, the major decisions that a person makes could either pave the way to his successes, or lead to failure; and in most cases, it is confidence that sets apart decisive people from indecisive people. Often, this is because, once a person has confidence in his decision-making skills, he can get past failure should his decisions turn out to be wrong. Being decisive builds confidence, regardless of the outcome.
Use the tips and guidelines in this book to determine whether you are suffering from chronic indecisiveness, and as well, learn what you can do about it. This book enumerates ways to get past the confusing and overwhelming stages of decision-making, so that we can minimize the beast, and take away the fear.
While the book describes some of the situations you may find yourself in because of indecisiveness, it also provides you with the ways to conquer it. We also touch on the topic of the positive impact of being decisive.
Again, thank you for downloading this book. Say good-bye to indecision. Lets begin..
Chapter 1
What Type of Indecisive Person are You?
Indecisiveness is something that has affected most people at a certain point in their lives. Some get past it, but some do not. Those who have not gotten past being indecisive may recognize the intense grasp it has on their lives. They might associate the indecisiveness with their childhood years. For instance, they could not decide what schoolbag to use, what club to join in, or what lunch meal to buy; and its always been that way, or they may associate the decisiveness with a specific event.
For the younger generation, the first major decision that they usually get confronted with is the college course to take. Some are determined about the course that they want, some on the other hand do not even know what to take, and some just rely or give in to what their parents decide for them.
However, those who were given the freedom to choose, but could not decide on what they really wanted usually resort to taking up general courses that would give them the leeway to shift to the course that they will soon decide on. While some students succeed in getting to choose a course after some time, some end up shifting repeatedly until they find themselves unable to finish their tertiary education on time, if at all.
Some people, on the other hand, find themselves being indecisive at the peak of their career or they may give the impression that they already have enough
