About this ebook
FLAMES. FUMES and FURY.
The Harrington boys and their pals work hard to build a playhouse for their two sisters, Marie and Barbara. The house, constructed of unusual oddments begged, borrowed or stolen, is grandly christened Harrington Hall. It soon becomes the focus of a pretend rescue operation. Things quickly get out of control as a pretend fire roars into reality. Someone deliberately sets fire to the newly made building and Lucan Square fills with thick black smelly smoke.
Consume the Harrington kids as they and their friends embark on their newest adventure, a Fire and Rescue Service, as Tom - the eldest Harrington boy and Great Fire Chief - stages a mock rescue of his two younger sisters, Marie and Barbara from a 'pretend burning house'.
Who set the house on fire? Why did they do it?
If you love humour, children's innocent adventures, and family activities, then you will love reading this story to your children and grandchildren.
Buy your copy today and join the Harrington kids and friends in their mysterious and wacky adventure.
Barbara A Hamilton
Barbara A Hamilton is a retired IT professional who stumbled into writing almost by chance.. Barbara started blogging some funny stories in February 2015. During the following months she gathered quite a few interested readers. After a summer hiatus, she spent the month of September adding ten more stories to her collection which she decided to publish as Children's eBooks. Five months later she has three books published and several more in the pipeline at various stage of production -- editing, illustration, packaging (book cover), publishing and last but certainly not least, marketing. Her early childhood in rural Ireland was rife with interesting and sometimes comical experiences. Having an eccentric English mother added colour and adventure to her small life. As a young girl she came to fully understand the saying "Mad dogs and Englishmen". Much of the content of the stories are derived from childhood experiences in rural Ireland in the forties where imagination and ingenuity were the only 'devices' available to most Irish children. In the mid eighties, Barbara spent four years of her professional career, in the Far East, living in Singapore and Tokyo. She travelled extensively to many parts of the Asian and Australian continents. Life there has a singular vibrancy that spills into one's soul. Barbara believes it was a great privilege to have lived and worked there. Eventually she would like to share some of those experiences with you. She lives in Hillsburgh, Ontario, Canada with her three dogs, Mo-mo, Sam and Pippa

I would like to thank my sisters Marie Landy and Toni Barnes, for sharing their childhood memories which added a depth of richness to the story.
